    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

They've said Q2. Two months left. We have done a road trip in our Volvo EV using Tesla Superchargers. It's a game-changer.

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

Yep. But there will be plenty of available, functioning stations.

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

Sorry for your car's troubles. FWIW, charging will become much better when Tesla supercharger access opens to the Air later this year. There are also some very large nationwide charging infrastructure programs in the works - but these won't bear substantial fruit for 2-3 years.

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

Mine's still on Unrestricted in the same time frame.

    Gravity Competition

I'm seeing a lot of those on the road. Gravity should do very well against it - at least for those open to alternatives.

    Audio Issues

It's happened to me a few times in the 2.5 years I've owned the car. Sound always came back with a soft reset.

    Key Detecting Antennas

My expectation would be that the Air has several integrated key radio modules in different places in the car, with only digital output, maybe canbus to a nearby gateway to the car's Ethernet ring. The back of the car is definitely the weak spot for the fob. Can't speak for the mobile key. I'm...

Thoughts on Sitting in a Gravity

Lucid moved the face cam to the steering column for Gravity. The Air's face cam is mounted to the bottom of the driver's display, where it can be blocked by the steering column unless you adjust the position of the steering wheel carefully.

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

You have to tap the Allow Background Usage text to see the buttons. This could have been clearer on Google's part.

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

Ah, you're right, mine is also "Optimized" rather than Unrestricted. I'll change to Unrestricted and see what happens.

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

Mine has always allowed background usage. I've never needed to change it on my Pixel 8 or 9. It's been a couple years. Currently Pixel 9 Pro.

    Mobile key unlocking delay

I too wish unlocking was better, but other than that, I don't care enough about it to comment.

    Mobile key unlocking delay

2025 Air models have exactly the same system as 2022-2024. Gravity's key system is completely different. No word yet on how well it works.

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

I'm equal-opportunity between mechanical, electrical, and software architecture. For me, there has been a dearth of software detail and enthusiasm captured on video.

    Losing Tire Pressure

Did you drive with these tires in weather below 40 degrees? Hit a pothole sometime during those 10K miles? Buy a road hazard warranty from America's Tire/Discount Tire. A good idea when driving on low profile tires in any car.

    2 Options for Battery Longevity

All good! The car's battery will slowly degrade with time no matter how carefully you manage it ("calendar degradation"), so there's no substantial payback to super-careful behavior that reduces the utility of the car or your enjoyment of it. Even DC fast charging, according to Lucid, seems to...

    2 Options for Battery Longevity

I think the main difference you'll notice is that you are paying for your electricity at home, vs. work paying for it. NMC lithium-ion batteries like the ones on our Airs have the lowest degradation when kept around 50% state of charge. But realistically, either scenario you mention is fine, and...

    Summer Storage

Never leave an EV fully charged for long periods of time! It's exactly the wrong thing to do. Your owner's manual is helpful:
