    Cars and Software

It's hard to blame closing a Pixel app for this. After all, if the app is terminated shouldn't the car wake up after initiating the app again? Okay if it take a while longer but it doesn't take a long time...it just spins and spins. As to the iPhone glitch, we have not gone through all the...

    Cars and Software

Hi hy. No, I'm not sure the app is running in the background. I'm very "phone proficient" so if there's a way to know the app is not running in the background, I think I would have found it by now. And even when I can wake up the car, the app sends me a message about "better mobile key...

    Cars and Software

I thought I found a workaround for the Lucid Air not waking up. I keep getting a message from the Lucid app telling me to keep the app running in the background (I believe it is). Today, after the car wouldn't wake up after a week of reliable wake up I am motivated again to complain. Don't...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

Here's a report from ten days after I found that setting. NO JOY! Car does not wake up from Android app or iPhone. Presumably the app is running in the background on Android (Pixel 6).

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

Pyle: You really are going above and beyond in trying to help. I'm not clear what you're trying to tell me. I have no problem getting to the Lucid app. I can get to it a number of ways. But once in the app, my Pixel 6 Android 14 doesn't let me see any on the screens you are suggesting...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

I found this setting in Battery Management: I just now changed to to "Unrestricted" from "Optimized". Let's see if it makes a difference.

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

Thanks Pyle. I have something that looks a lot like that first screen shot. But nothing in the hamburger selection that allows me to keep the app open. All I have in the hamburger is:: Settings (And it's not in there) Lucid Charging Service Service Lucid Knowledge Center Owner's Manual...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

I'm weighing in on this and apologizing about weighing in on this. So much has been posted about not being able to unlock and so much has been posted about the Lucid Air not "waking up." I'm just adding another factoid in the off chance that someone knows what I can be doing to get the car to...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

I'm weighing in on the unlock for an "un"Thanksgiving. Here's a summary (with all of this data, I suspect software issues with several "race" conditions). Here's some data. The car is about a month old and has the 2.5 update. A family member carries both an up-to-date iPhone and the fob in...

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

I know there is another place to post wish-list upgrades. But, here I go anyway: Lock the glove box for "valet" mode Fold the side mirrors when approaching the "home" location.

    Jaguar Rebrand

The ad makes the connection the OP wanted to make. Make a misstep about trans people and suffer in the marketplace. That's the lesson of Budweiser and Dylan Mulvaney. Don't take this post to mean I agree with what happened to Budweiser but rather that a comparison with Budweiser is spot on.

    Lucid Touring Observation

Thanks for all the data. Sounds like it will take a while for EV drivers to sort this all out. For example, while your Electrify America is free, few, if any will sign up for plan that is not pay-as-you-go. Of course, they won't need to figure it out if they can always find a free Electrify...

    Lucid Touring Observation

All good points when comparing fuel costs for Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to Electric Vehicle (EV) costs. Yes, charging at home is way cheaper. But data suggests that about a third of Americans live in apartments..not detached homes where they can charge. (I can supply the source for...

    Lucid Touring Observation

I find Borski's screen shots (it says "1:47 AM today" on my computer) a little disappointing. I did a quick back of the envelope calculation. He got 309 miles for $51.00. If a run-of-the-mill Internal Combustion (ICE) car gets 30 miles per gallon that would be the equivalent of ten gallons of...

Anyone remember the Apple Superbowl ad? The one with a user smashing a screen of conformity? Pretty effective.. No...extraordinarily effective. That ad had a George Orwell implied reference. And the ad came out in 1984.

Well, as others have posted, a charging cable doesn't seem to come with the car. But yes, after fussing a bit, we are using a Lucid provided plug. Thanks for the info.

    J1772 Extension Cable

We are retiring a Model S and we now have a Lucid Air. Our garage was wired for the 240V J1772 cable to comfortably reach the rear charge port that Teslas have. But, with the charge port in the front, the Lucid charging cord barely reaches. I see there are J1772 extension cords/cables for...

Lucid won't unlock unless I turn on my iphone's screen

We have IOS 18.1 and we also have a fob with us. Car won't unlock when it's in the garage but is less balky when in an shopping center parking lot. Note: with 18.1 the screen never goes completely black even though the phone is "locked." The lock screen shows the time and some wallpaper.
