Today I changed out the 14-50 NEMA outlet. The car has stopped going to sleep when charging. It was a simple $12 fix from Home Depot.

I had the same issue; tripping the breaker. I had my electrician come out, and the sub panel where my 50 amp breaker was installed, only had 60 amps going to it. He had to pull heavier wire to the subpanel and install a 100 amp breaker to the sub panel and it has not tripped the breaker again.

Mine did the same thing yesterday. Charged 5% then went to sleep. I tried what CS suggested; leaving the door open, and it did not charge at all after waiting 30 minutes. I had to do a system reset to get the car to start charging again. After the reset, it charged to 80% without going to sleep...
