How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I find it interesting how a small group of EV bloggers have established 70MPH with A/C running, as the people's official EV range test. It's interesting to watch, but confuses potential buyers. Even more interesting is how many on this forum (including your's truly) have tried to duplicate the...

It’s All About the Range And Charging Speed

Once in a while, we take a slow 35-40 mile run along the beach on A1A. Today we used the Rivian, and I set it to the best efficiency mode. Front wheel drive and lowest height setting. The Rivian delivered a respectable 3.61m/kWh. Multiplying it by 135 kW battery pack, the Rivian can deliver 487...

How effective is your air conditioner?

The need for reduced drag pretty much eliminates the use of the large A/C condenser used in ICE cars. It is replaced by smaller unit(s) and fans. Not sufficient surface available to reject all the heat from the condenser until the car is moving at reasonable speed. Blowing 100 degree air does...

    Electrify America Home Station

There is not sufficient information available from Lucid to make an intelligent decision on the proper equipment for bidirectional charging. I suspect it is going to be similar to the Ford Home Integration System. Ford Charge Station Pro is designed specifically for the F-150 Lightning™ and is...

While the Factory Shows No Production Out In The Parking Lot….

Mike's math.. if you plan to build 10,000 cars in the remaining six months you need 10 truckloads a day. I don't believe that it's happening or it's going to happen anytime soon.

I Agree.. but ventilated seats would be much appreciated in South Florida.

    Greetings from a Lucid Veteran

Agree ! Lucid can easily get to the Plaid numbers if it decided to reduce the battery pack to Tesla's size. The 4680 has a lot less internal resistance, generates less heat/current flow so it is a better overall energy storage and energy delivery device, both of which are a step in the right...

    Would You Buy Again

Have a DEP since Dec 21. Mid march this year we ordered a Pure. The driving dynamics of the DEP are so good that we believe the Pure, being lighter and a lot less expensive, will be a lot more fun to drive.

    Hot Topic!

I don't believe Lucid would set a 70 degree high temperature threshold Panasonic's 21700 cells are safe at temperatures from 20-120 degrees F. However I do believe that the BMS will not start charging a car if the Battery temperature is near the upper limit to avoid overheating. I can see a...

These Are The Real Tesla Killers

Wait until you get closer to my age, when driving for three hours without a stop becomes a challenge. BTW I was talking about range anxiety.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

3 miles per 1% SOC use is what I use for South Florida as well. Temperature set to 68 (I turn off the rear to keep the fan noise down) and drive 45 MPH around town and 80+ on the express.

These Are The Real Tesla Killers

Tesla reminds me of the commercial .... "look at all the stuff my new phone has !!! ... is it an Iphone?... no it isn't ... I don't want it". What lucid has over everyone else is the driving experience. If you love driving, Lucid and Porsche are the only options. If you need more space, then...

    Touring or Pure

The match says the car should be able to match the Tesla numbers. 18 modules will give the car a 95kWh battery capacity and at 4.2x95 =400 mile range. It should also do better on local roads as it should weigh a lot less.

SO it's acceptable if it is on both mirrors? I would. expect a company building a high end luxury product, to be all over their supplier to fix it before going into production. Unless it is an in-house product, which would be even worse, if it was found to be o.k for production.

I am totally puzzled by this line. Both Mirrors have it. No Idea why this is here. Have never seen it before and probably will not see it ever again unless I buy another Lucid (which I am)
