Out of Spec - Lots of Good Coverage

I did it out of curiosity and it was actually lots of fun.

Out of Spec - Lots of Good Coverage

HAHhahha yes no doubt. My DEP is number 180. Lucid was building one or two a day back then. Could be an anomaly. Either way I am happy with the results.

Out of Spec - Lots of Good Coverage

Purchased a paint thickness meter and tested our Eureka Gold. I was surprised to see the Frunk nose readings were in the 7 mils range given all the "thin paint" rumors reported by some. For some reason (sleepy or tired paint robot) the entire passenger side read 2 mils lower but was consistent...

    Rivian Neutral Incident - Edmunds

hahahaha yes! but, We are into month three of ownership and we learned to approach the car from the back and or the sides. Wife keeps making fun of it as well, but although we have a choice of three cars, she always jumps in the IX for long trips. Smooth, quiet and very efficient. Unlike our...

    Pure Standard Equipment

Typically the charging rates are limited either by the current limitation imposed by the station, or the current limitations imposed by the car manufacturer. The car manufacturers are smart enough to set their BMS so it meets the battery supplier's recommendations. Assuming the Lucid cell...

    Ordered 2023 Stealth GT yesterday

Car Junkie here as well. If you select the mild regen available on the Taycan you get a good idea how your Lucid will behave with the light regen setting. I had zero issues going from the Taycan to the Lucid DEP.

    Rivian Neutral Incident - Edmunds

Same here. We recently took a 335 mile trip in the IX and had 10% left upon arrival.

Hyundai now more efficient than Lucid?

Mike's math: It will take me 10 years to drive 100,000 miles. I can switch to an Ionic 6 and save $16 dollars a year or I can just drive my DEP. All I have to do to break even is skip ordering a Big Mac with large fries once a year. ? Done.

    New Rivian Recall

What is the condition? Lucid has determined that on certain model year 2022 Lucid Air vehicles with subframes manufactured by a supplier, the tow eye attachment bracket at the vehicle subframe may have been manufactured with inadequate adhesive properties, which could result in the unexpected...

    New Rivian Recall

Recalls from Lucid and the Rivian within 24 hours from each other. Friends are having a field day.

    1,000 Mile Review - Outstanding Vehicle...But

There is a lot of confusion with the term Bi-derctional. The power pack is DC. The car manufacturer provides the hardware needed to convert the DC (usually 400 Volt or 900 Volt) to 240VAC 60HZ so it can emulate the Utility in voltage and frequency, and not interfere within existing appliances...

    New Rivian Recall

This is the actual recall notice I received from Rivian on our R1T. What is the problem? An insufficiently torqued steering knuckle fastener could cause excessive wheel camber, or, in rare instances, a separation, affecting the driver’s ability to control the vehicle, and increasing the risk...

Contactors in the high voltage battery pack

Agree.. not in the video. But would be risky to have 900 volts remain active anywhere once first responders cut the 12V feed to the relays.

    Sentry Mode

Right now, the USB ports are dumb power terminals. That needs to change before any videos can be stored and transferred to memory sticks.

Contactors in the high voltage battery pack

I would be shocked (no pun intended) if the High power relays are not inside the battery pack. I know the Ford Mach-e battery pack is designed with the relay module sitting inside the battery enclosure. Without the 12 V to energize the relays the HV battery Battery terminals remain at zero Volts.

    GPS not functioning

This morning the GPS seems to work o.k.

    Sentry Mode

Works like a charm in the Rivian. Other than plugging in a usb C memory storage device it is totally seamless. A bit annoying with all the curious bystanders approaching to get a better look but the number of incidents will approach zero once the R1Ts loose their UFO sighting status.

    Rivian Neutral Incident - Edmunds

I have a risk adverse personality. The Rivian. The Rivian would be the right vehicle to clean up the mess left behind from the house burning down.
