[Lucid Air Pure] To Dual or Not To Dual, that is the question

You can !! drive a Rivian in AWD and then switch to two wheel drive and the change is obvious. True the two wheel system drives the front wheels, so it's even more pronounced, but the difference is noticeable.

    BMW iX: A reasonable substitute?

When it comes to driving dynamics the IX and the Lucid have very little in common. The IX rides like a RR while the Lucid is now the ultimate driving EV that the BMW four door sedans used to be and no longer are. Software wise, the IX with its new version 8 Idrive, is at least a year or two...

[Lucid Air Pure] To Dual or Not To Dual, that is the question

I suspect Lucid will not start production of the RWD cars until the AWD orders are filled. You can blindfold me and I bet I can tell a 911 AWD from a RWD before I leave the parking lot.

    Something is just not right

Only one of our three EVs has CarPlay. CarPlay offers a lot of extras that are not available in OEM systems and seems to be improving at a faster pace than the OEM systems. Do I miss not having it in the other two? Not really. Would I love to have it if it became available? absolutely.

    2.0.24 Update

Prior to .24 the screens would go live the minute the door was opened. Now seems like a three second delay. Still fast, as by the time you swing the door to get in, the screens are live.

I planned to keep my Taycan 4S for a long long time... and then the DEP arrived. Bye bye Taycan 4S.

    Expected date for my pure

Great little car. Mine was a 1971 yellow. As I recall it had a lever to engage freewheeling. I don't think I used as it required a lot more early breaking going around the Bridgehampton circuit chasing MGs. Always a sucker for weird car designs.

    Expected date for my pure

As an early 2012 Fisker Karma owner, who continue to own the car through the bankruptcy, other than the loss of the Warranty coverage we all managed to keep the cars running though the Fisker Buzz Owner's forum. The croup shared information, part sourcing and actively supported several Fisker...

    Pure Standard Equipment

A good chassis doesn't need a lot of HP to enjoy. With the Pure Lucid has an opportunity to take the crown as the best Electric driving sedan in the business. If Lucid cuts corners, and produces a run of the mill driving chassis it will miss a once in a life opportunity.

    Car completely non-responsive

My preference would be a place where I don't have to lie down on mud and or snow in the middle of the night to unscrew a cover plate. How about the plate behind the tow hook.? This is all for the benefit of future owners... ours fall in the "It is what it is" category

Can someone explain to me why the cables are located in the worst place possible?

    Battery Degradation After 1 Year

True, But, the amount of energy that can be stored and recovered from a pack is how degradation is actually measured and is used for warranty coverage purposes as well.

    Battery Degradation After 1 Year

Given that both Tesla and the Lucid are using Panasonic cells, I would expect similar degradation over time. I am sure both have design their BMS to protect the warranty they have with Panasonic.

    Battery Degradation After 1 Year

DEP delivered Dec 2021. As delivered, our first full charge to 100 % indicated 455 Mile range. The last time we fully charged to 100% it indicated 445. Unlike our 2020 Taycan which was fully charged constantly, we don't usually bother charging the Lucid to 100%, and don't have may data points...

Welcome neighbor !! Surprised to see so many cars at Riviera Beach. When I I picked my car, there were only two other cars at the service center.

    Rivian purchase

I don't understand why Rivian can't give a reasonable estimate to current reservation holders. Divide the number of reservations by the expected production numbers over time and bingo! you have the expected delivery mm/yy.

Loves the ride and build quality, She too hates the front. Best part. Everything works. Zero issues so far.
