    1st car wash.

After having had the car for six months, I took it to a car wash for the first time. It was a brushless wash. The drying process involved powerful blowers. Unfortunately, it blew off two pieces of trim=, about 5" (+/-) long from the roof, directly about driver window and front passenger...

Have you looked at the DCFC prices?

NYSEG installed a "day/night" meter so when I charge at night, the rate is $0.0347/Kwh.

    Wind noise

I noticed wind noise infiltration from seemingly top of driver window when I drove car home on Day 1. Tech came to house, drove car for a couple of hours, installed compressible foam underneath rubber gasket at top or window, but noise persists. No improvement. Disappointing to say the least...

    Touch Up Paint?

    Touch Up Paint?

Nice, but unfortunately they offer only Cosmos Silver Metallic and Zenith Red Metallic.

    Touch Up Paint?

Saw a small paint chip on edge of left rear door, the kind you'd expect to see if someone had opened door too far and banged it on a hard surface. I went to Manhattan last week and left car at parking lot, so suspicion lies with attendant, but why he might have opened rear door is beyond me...

    Mobile Key Working Well!

Might it be possible for the app to do a FindMy for lost fobs? (I meant in a future iteration.)

    Hello from Upstate NY

Hellscape is indeed the word. Drove to Williamstown this afternoon, another cool trip on Rte. 22 & 43 with lots of twists and hills, perfect for a Lucid! Fun!

    Hello from Upstate NY

Sorry, but I (Pure) drive the Taconic. It's a wicked fun road to roam. IMHO, it's the only thing Robert Moses ever got right.

NY and EV Rant of the day

I, too, have been to the Meatpacking studio. (I live a couple of blocks from there). I think the point is that they have no sales staff, so technically, it's not a "sales showroom", just a place to show the car. Customers interested in making a purchase must do so on-line.

    Phone Call Wind Noise

Had the issue, tech stuffed compressible foam under rubber gasket, didn’t help.

    Spare tire

I received delivery of a Modern Spare for my Pure and it does fit in the frunk snugly. Waiting for delivery of E-HEELP jack. Plan to place a couple of 2x6 boards to gain elevation in the car.

    Insurance company claim experience.

State Farm premium in NYS is $1,102 for 1 year for my Pure.

    Spare tire

I understand the EZSpare and the Modern Spare are two good viable options for a spare. Does anyone know if a 245/45R19 Pirelli P Zero All-Season Plus Tire will fit in the frunk?

    Best reactions to your Air

So my Argentinian neighbor sees my Pure and asks, "Wow! Who makes this?" "Lucid, a company in California with a factory in Arizona", I reply. "Lurid? I never heard of it."

    Best reactions to your Air

When I drove to the local market, I was immediately approached by two admirers of my Pure and they offered cash to buy it from me. They held out $12 and two mustard squirt thingies. I was overwhelmed by their enthusiasm. They appeared to be about 12 years old. We struck a deal to think...

    Temporary Registration

I live in NY. I went to DMV. They rejected the Purchase Agreement because it is not on Lucid letterhead. Lucid said that they cannot make any changes to the Agreement since it is a legal document. DA suggests I ask AAA or State Farm to register the car. Anyone have a similar experience...

NY and EV Rant of the day

It's inconsistencies such as this that make, what could be a pretty straight-forward process simple and easy, a hassle instead. My insurance broker (State Farm) insisted that the date on the insurance cert must match the date when I register the car. But when I queried DMV, they said that...
