    Road Trip Disaster

Hey...I'm only 700 miles in. I''m hoping, in my case, familiarity will breed contentment, not contempt

    Road Trip Disaster

Please cite where I said "Lucid isn't working to identify...causes of total failure..." etc. I have zero evidence, one way or the other ...I do HOPE they're working diligently. The company's survival depends on their success I find it hard to believe there is disagreement about an obvious...

    Road Trip Disaster

They're all reliable until they aren't. 100% of my impression was formed on this site. It's impossible to get any reliable data on how often the total failures occur. So we all relay on the anecdotal accounts we read here. For a long time I had a '58 Jag XK-150--most fun, beautiful car...

    Road Trip Disaster

For me this was the single big deterrent to buying the car. In the end I rationalized going ahead by convincing myself I can get away with only charging at home, and never driving very far from home. Being 20 miles from a major service center was important too. For me the Lucid is a...

    One-Year Review

Wonderful testament, especially considering your first hand knowledge of the formidable comparisons

    3B Raise/Offering

P/E = Price/EARNINGS---not Revenue. Lucid would be lucky to "earn" $100MM on $1B of sales. At 20X the share price is $1

    3B Raise/Offering

Given the company's huge burn, coupled with much lower demand than anyone (including me) expected, makes me think 1) the Saudis are the only real source of capital, 2) they are holding a tight leash on management and investing in 1 year increments (ie $3B!!), and 3) putting management on the...

    First impression 10 days in

A Agreed--3 months in and I trigger the wipers inadvertently and regularly. Otherwise, I don't mind the stiffness of the tactile controls, including the lane-keep thing that others don't like. Ever since childhood firm warnings have impressed me more that weak ones

    Roadtrip and Navigation

So true. I just bought a 2024 X5 for my wife and the IDrive UI seems like it's two generations ahead of Lucid's: functionality, speed, graphics configurability, etc. etc. i think Lucid can get there someday, but given the layoffs and need to prioritize cash spending, I don't expect much...

Is Homelink worth using? Your opinions please.

Granted, not a huge thing. And it only detracts minimally from my enjoyment of the otherwise stunning car. It just seems strange that Lucid doesn't prioritize the fix of something that happens daily to nearly every driver. SXM craps out at some point every day I drive the car. But I...

Is Homelink worth using? Your opinions please.

I have to 1) close out the camera, 2) touch the Homelink icon, 3) touch the close button (named "home"). The open button (home) just appears when I pull in the driveway---why can't it similarly appear when I exit the garage ? I think the arrival experience is so good it make the departure...

Is Homelink worth using? Your opinions please.

Totally agree...and it's something that reminds every owner every day that L is lagging behind on a simple convenience that' s taken for granted by everyone

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I've owned the car 2 months, driven 600 miles (mostly around town, some highway). Lifetime is 3.4

    Locked in car

I can't think of a reason why any car-locking design would allow the possibility of the door being un-openable (without force) from the INSIDE. I 'm surprised it isn't a NTSB requirement (with exception for child locks)

    2.0.68 Release

Thanks for the suggestion---I did do it that way during a prolonged SXM outage, and your right; it works well.

    BMW i5 M60 review

It's fun to see what the legacy OEMs are doing, but I agree this car does nothing for me...2 years behind Audi and not as good. That said, I just bought a 2024 X5 (to replace a 2016) and much of the electronics are better than my Touring's. Lighting up and unlocking when sensing the fob or the...

    2.0.68 Release

That would be great news. SXM has been a Sirius mess for me--constantly cutting out, with various messages: "Service not Available", "Something Went Wrong" (well, right...), "Cellular Connection Lost"...even "Oooops". Sometimes I can fix it by switching to AM/FM and back; other times not. One...
