I had one of these. 2017 MY. Man that was a fuuuun car. Shouldn’t have sold it. Hopefully @xponents will get a chance to enjoy some of life’s beautiful ICEs before everything goes EV
I wonder if behind the scenes EA is scaling back. Conserve money, take their paychecks before they announce bankruptcy or something. They’ve becomes very slow
Free charging extension is officially over! Anyone want to go and test to see if waived idle fees are officially done? That’ll be so nice. I have to say…I generally run away from a station if I see too many Lucids plugged in. They tend to stay for hours. Hopefully that will be a thing of the past!
I don't think it matters whether it's a yoke, steering wheel, flat top, flat bottom, etc...you'll get used to whatever you want to get used to. Weirdly enough, if you watch long-term Tesla owner reviews, the bigger fans love their yokes lol.
hah yea i did watch about 15 minutes of the video, and skipped around a bit. It is pretty interesting! It also makes me believe that creating an FSD-like system is actually easier in China than it is in the US.
Watching the video a bit, you can see that the self-driving vehicle doesn't actually...
Interesting...2025 Air and Gravity should be calculated on the same EPA test cycle. Both claim 450 miles. Air does it with a slightly smaller battery. But minor difference. Would be great if they even end up being the same!
Yes exactly. I'm surprised how many people are saying Lucid is completely in the right here. If it's indeed a crack that didn't originate from an impact, they SHOULD replace it under warranty. Other manufacturers will do this as well.
I'm not saying I trust unverified owner OP with 30 posts...
Tesla replaced my rear windshield glass on my Model 3 for free back in 2019 since it was not caused by an impact. I would expect Lucid to do the same if this was indeed a stress crack, and not an impact related crack. It's very easy to rub your hand along the outside edge of the crack to figure...
This car has Lidars all around it. Lucid has a single forward facing Lidar...that's not going to give you the precision and reliability you need for city street self-driving. You need to have precise measurements of all the vehicles around you, not just in front.
Lucid's own roadmap only...
True but 7500 is kind of a drop in the bucket when you're talking about 6 figure cars. Leases have their own fees like acquisition, disposition, additional taxes, etc...there is still some benefit, but it's closer to $6k. The biggest factor is going to be the money factor and residuals. Lucid...
Was just looking at making one last trip to EA to get one last free charge on my Air, but look at the state of EA in CA Bay Area! Almost every single station full at 10:30AM on a Monday. Lol. EA has really become unusable in recent months.
Being able to Supercharge the Gravity is going to be...
Lucid can always start selling certified pre-owned Lucid’s that are lease returns. I suspect they’ll still take a loss compared to the residual values set on those leases, but it won’t be nearly as bad as shipping them off to Auction.
Gravity I expect should do better than the Air. Given the...
Are you considering buying or leasing again? If you’re leasing again, Taycan will definitely be way more expensive. If you’re buying new then yea…a base Taycan and an Air GT probably will probably cost the same.
That’s the last thing they’ll do. If they do anything they may try to offer you a cheaper buy out, or get you to extend your lease. (But I haven’t seen any evidence of this yet. I’m sure people will be hitting 18 months soon.) Getting you into another subsidized lease only doubles their losses...
I’m not saying Rivian doesn’t have issues. I’ve said earlier many times that Rivian has their own issues. I do think reliability wise, they are struggling more than Lucid. But as an owner of both, Rivian software is in a different league from Lucid. It’s fast, responsive, and they add features...
Yup I know. But I can feel for someone that buys a brand new $100k car and then needs to be in for service, and then you get a creaky worn loaner for a couple weeks. It’s unfortunately just the reality and I’m not saying Lucid can do anything differently. Providing pickup, drop off, and a loaner...
Loaners tend to be more abused than normal cars. I don’t really care personally…but The last one I had felt a lot older than 2 years old. Dirty stained interior…squeaks all over…alignment issues, etc….
