    NACS Lucid Home Charger?

Unless you want 80Amp and the “promise” of V2H. Then you’ll have to buy Lucid’s unit whenever they release it.

    Dream Drive 2????

LiDAR has its use cases. It does provide a much more precise 3D measurement than Cameras can can. I think Waymo has proven that it’s the ideal technology for self-driving. That being said, a forward facing only Lidar like Polestar or Lucid is doing is i think overkill. Other OEMs, Supercuise...

    HUD Patent

Have you owned cars with HUD before? I've had a couple...it's not that distracting, since you have to look down and closer to the edge of your hood and the road and focus on whatever it says. I still personally end up looking at the nav screen and dash anyway because they will always have more...

Sapphire owners: New track tire package

Maybe it's finally time for Lucid to publish a 'Ring time for the Sapphire! Obviously it wasn't going to do well on PS4S. Now it looks like they have the shoes to compete lol.

Mobileye is a big one. And they've had products in the market since the first gen Model S. https://www.mobileye.com/solutions/ They're providing ADAS features to Volvo/Polestar, VW, Zeekr, etc... today

    Dream Drive 2????

P nah They do. But not only Tesla, but Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Lucid, etc all have it standard as well. I guess it’s your money, but if something is free, I wouldn’t pay $10k for it

    Dream Drive 2????

Yea. When I first started researching Lucid back in 2023, when I say the $8 or $9k pricing for DDP, I knew that was going to end the same way Tesla’s FSD scam did. I didn’t pay for it when I got my Touring. But if someone decided that it was worth it for a lidar unit strapped to the bumper, then...

    Dream Drive 2????

Really? You’d pay $10k for rear cross traffic protection? Pretty sure that’s a standard feature on most cars including base dream drive.

    Dream Drive 2????

I agree that the original pricing for DDP was unacceptable especially given how much bad brand equity Tesla got from doing the same thing and charging $8-$12k for FSD without a product for many years. But if you look at the Air configurator now, DDP is a $2500 option, which is not as egregious...

    Dream Drive 2????

Yup! Free updates to hardware if you purchased FSD. And it still applies…if you buy an old 2016+ Tesla with the 8 camera suite, you can buy FSD, and then take it in to a service center, and they’ll upgrade it to the latest FSD computer.

    Dream Drive 2????

What are you talking about? Tesla updated the HW when it turned out the chips in the legacy S/X weren’t powerful enough. Everyone who has ever paid for FSD has access to the latest version of the software and continue to get continuous updates. A better example actually is Rivian. They had an...

    Range w/heater?

Weirdly enough I don’t see a large effect on Teslas with winter driving. Whether you drive it in the cold, or you drive it on a perfect day, it doesn’t vary much. For my old Model S…Maybe 3.0 miles/kw in cold short trip driving and 3.3 or 3.4 in perfect conditions. Whereas my Lucid gets a...

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

That’s a good test. But I don’t think it has anything to do with the heat pump, the bigger difference is the 118kwh battery and chemistry. InsideEV and Edmunds both got 500 miles at 70mph on their Lucid Air Dream Editions. And those cars don’t have heat pumps. Extra 6kwh alone is worth ~25 miles

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

    Forgot to clarify I do have 20s. That’s a 10% or roughly 0.3 miles/kw difference right there.

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

Yea agreed… 3.1 or 3.2 sounds about right. That’s my lifetime average in my Touring works out to about 25% under EPA

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

In Northern CA electricity is expensive enough that this would literally cost more to fill up than a full size ICE guzzler. If it had closer to 2.5miles/kwh efficiency, I would consider one especially with all the huge deals. I’ve seen some $600/month leases. I do agree, they look awesome.
