Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

@ralsagoff's post is harsh, though I identify with many of his grievances. I hope Lucid management take note of the concerns raised by the owners and take a more proactive posture to acknowledge the concerns and communicate plans to fix the issues raised by the owners. The silence on...

    Next update?

Now, let's be clear, Lucid said AA it out of their hands, it is Google' fault! 😉

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

I should add, I have 19" wheels. For me, it is all bout the range. Nowadays, I drive an even longer road-trip...from PHX to Marin county, 780 miles. It would cost me 2 extra hours of driving (~12.5hrs @70-75mph/ 14.5hrs @ 60mph, including charging time) if I drove at 60mph to get closer to...

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

My main objective for purchasing the AGT was range. Drive dynamics, cabin comfort, DDPro are "nice-to-have". On an I-10 PHX to LA drive, I keep to the posted speed limit, maybe plus 3-4 miles max. On I-10, speed limit is 75mph in AZ and 70 in CA. My AGT has an 112kW-hr battery. I typically...

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

I agree with @momo3605. Like most of you, I like the drive dynamics, range (see my comments to follow), cabin appointment, etc.. But the SW/UI is incredibly buggy. I managed HW/SW revenue product development before. Lucid's performance is, at best, sub-par! That's not to say other...

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

Like any computer-based system, many EVs might encounter glitches and need for reboot from time-to-time. That said, I have my Rivian (14+ months) and I use my phone as the key. I have never had to reboot, reinstall, turn off my WiFi, turn ON/OFF my Bluetooth to gain access to my R1S, not even...

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

Many of us carry multiple Lucid unlocking devices like you. But, let me ask a simple question: > before the Lucid, when you were driving other cars, did you carry multiple entry/unlocking devices for your car? Why is this acceptable practice for Lucid? Why isn't Lucid doing something to fix...

Open letter to Lucid after 7 months of ownership

I haven't driven my AGT for almost a month. But I have encountered this door unlocking problem many times in my 2 year plus ownership of the AGT. Specifically, there are 4 ways I know to unlock the car doors vis-a-vis, FOB, Mobile App, Mobile Key, and Valet card. All of them have issues, or...

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I am sorry, it is 0% to 50%, not 15%. My question is, if your charging session is 35min, starting @10% SoC, what is your end SoC after 35min?

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I wasn't generalizing. I was using Lucid's data RE: charging the first 200 miles/0% to 15% on the Pure. that's their spec.

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I meant from 10% SoC. Also, after 17m (@>50% SoC), the charger (Voltage) shouldn't be the limiting factor, correct?

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

Lucid's spec says the Pure can onboard 200 miles range, i.e., 50% battery capacity, in 17min. With your charging time/experience, I'd expect you will be darn close to 80% by 35min (from 01% SoC start). Do you see that?

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

Based on your experience on the Pure, do you think it charges as fast as the other Lucid trims, including the AGT?

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

If you haven't seen this yet, you might want to take a quick look. Key points: > The Tesla Model 3 (RWD) finished 2nd (behind the Taycan) in the OoS I-90 Surge. The Ioniq finished 3rd. > Kyle interviewed the 3-person Model 3 team about their experience. Note their remarks about the Lucid AGT...

Time to complete 2 year service

It shouldn't take that long. I think the actual service time is a couple of hours. I dropped my car off @9AM on Jan 2nd and picked it up at 2PM, Jan 3rd. The SC also re-routed by dash-can wiring and detailed the car. I live ~6mi from the SC. They didn't have to send a truck to pick up my car.

Time to complete 2 year service

I think $590 is Lucid's standard charge for 2 year maintenance. I had to pay another $80 to replace the two air scoops. I also had my Rivian (R1S) serviced (1 year service) recently. They replaced my 12V battery, rotated the tires, and did the necessary inspections. $200.

Time to complete 2 year service

I had my AGT in for 2 year service, I only had 14,500 miles on it. I think the big items were, a HV battery health check and then inspections. They also replaced the two front air scoops (one fell off, the other was lose). It was in the shop for ~30hours. Approx $600.

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

According to Google Maps, that route was 388 miles. Notice that the Pure/Touring trims didn't join the convoy starting from Newark. In theory, rated at 400 miles range, the Pure/Touring could have make that trip. And they didn't take I-5 either (408 miles, faster traffic). If I remember...

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

Directionally, all your points are correct. But, where is this "fact" that the Air was optimized to be most efficient at 70mph come from? Was it published any where? I thought Kyle's 70mph testing was done as a proxy for highway driving. Is there more to it than just that? Also if you...
