    October OTA Updates

Thanks, but I've done this three or four times before the update and once since the update. Still only limited mobile key functionality. Interesting, @CLTGT , so that is at least four of us where the mobile key doesn't work. I had gone to just the fob before, but I was hoping that the update...

    October OTA Updates

My mobile key has always been spotty and only partially functional, at best The whole "car waking up as you approach it" has never worked. Always have to open the app, wait for the car to wake up, then press unlock. And every second to fourth time I get in, i have to reenter my PIN...

    Keyfob Mnemonics

I'm hoping the new update cures those ills as well. Yeah, John and Lena were not a huge help, so was hoping there was someone else there or elsewhere that had more insight. Would have been much more helpful if I had known this issue before our little breakfast with the Lucid folks a couple of...

    Keyfob Mnemonics

Same here. It was asking for my PIN every time, so we re-setup the mobile phone key thing. Now it it asks for the PIN every second to fifth time. Oddly, it sometimes decides to ask for my PIN partway through a drive. That part is especially annoying since you can't change gears when that...

    Charger FAQ/Explanation

Essentially every smart EVSE (Juicebox, Chargepoint, etc.) allows you to set current limitations, as well as smart charging (setting for low tariff times, etc.). That is more a basic feature of EVSEs, not the vehicle. The blame should go on your electrician, not the vehicle. I am...

Lucid hit piece from this forum

Out of Spec - Lots of Good Coverage

That's curious about your Tidal and Spotify. Mine does not do that. My playlists always start on the last song that was playing. I am using my own playlists and they are all on shuffle. I think I did notice that on Tidal when I used a couple of their playlists.

    Emergency exit from inside

It's supposed to be "pull really hard" on the door release. Apparently, the conventional pull activates the door servo latch. If you pull harder, past the normal travel, it activates the mechanical release latch. I've not tried it personally.

Ladies and Gentlemen the Lucid Air Sapphire and Ben Collins plus Laguna Seca!

That is NUTS! You can get an inkling of the 100 to 200 time when he hits the Rahal straight. Really wondering what the lap time was, if it wasn't a new production car and EV record, that's got to be coming soon.

Something limiting power from Mobile Charging Cable

That is correct on both items. The 50 in the 14-50 is the max amps, so should be a 50 amp breaker. It may have been originally wired as a 60 amp circuit with 6G wire, which would have been okay if things are hardwired into that circuit, but once a 14-50 outlet is wired into it, the 60amp...

I am annoyed. Here is what Lucid needs to do.

I was told the same thing about CarPlay last week by a Lucid engineer. Apparently, the only hold up now is approval of the appearance of the interface. Apple wanted them to make some changes on how it presented on the upper and lower screens. If they(Apple) reject it, you can't resubmit for...

    Spare tire

The 4.75" is the normal ground clearance? So with a flat, would need a jack that fits under maybe 4.25"? That's not a lot of space. I was looking at this jack, but it needs 4.72" of clearance, so guessing it wouldn't fit with a flat...

New Tech Talk with Rawlinson, Drive Unit: Motor

Yes, that leap in power density is crazy. When you compare to other motors, they are all a few to a dozen percentage points behind. To jump up by a factor of 2 is impressive. And agreed, the amount of subtle shade that he throws is legendary! When you compare the engineering side by side...

New Tech Talk with Rawlinson, Drive Unit: Motor

That is pretty mind blowing. Putting before the transmission to reduce the torque, thus allowing you to make it smaller, is such an obvious solution in retrospect. There are a whole mess of intellectual property (patents) that he just discussed that have a bunch of engineers at other companies...

Is that the 17" or 20" EZSpare? IIRC, you have 21" wheels?

New Tech Talk with Rawlinson, Drive Unit: Motor

Tesla was forced to because of the dumpster fire that was the Tesla Roadster. Musk didn't really want to do it. The $500 million from the Dept of Energy kept them afloat and financed a lot of the development of the Model S, but they had to generate revenue. So the battery development with...

New Tech Talk with Rawlinson, Drive Unit: Motor

Okay, this is super cool. It's over an hour long, but, wow, there are some really smart people behind this car! He goes into a lot of detail on some amazing innovations that allowed them to make the motors so small and lightweight. I do have to say. The way that he writes "x" freaks me out...

Just got your Air? Consider buying this stuff

I didn't specify, but the actual guideline refers to the total wheel diameter, that is diameter plus the wheel height. They said that the 17" wheel plus height is over 10% difference from the other remaining 21" wheels.
