Poll: When will Lucid open Gravity Orders?

It's unrealistic to have even single Gravity delivered to the end customer by the EoY IMHO. Before this to happen several administrative procedures have to be done, and some of these procedures like EPA ratings have to be performed on exact specs (at least for some specs). To have this all done...

    Lucid air vs my m5

To be fair both ICE and BEV are century old technologies. But of course they all evolved heavily since then.

    Android Auto Thursday

And it's heavily different to me. Android Auto and/or AAOS is important requirement for me. At the same time I don't care about Dream Drive (above basic functionality like adaptive cruise control and maybe vey minimal lane keep assistant) because I don't believe that any this self driving...

    Android Auto Thursday

Yes. That is because it shows you Google Maps tiles as I've said: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/tile

    Android Auto Thursday

Tesla does not use Google Maps for navigation. It uses tiles an maybe something other from Google Maps, but navigation is performed by Mapbox. AFAIK the same is for Rivian.

SIXT Brings Award-Winning Lucid Air to Fleet in Germany

This also exists, but that is different thing. Yes companies may buy/lease a car and provide it to the employee. Yes it is about taxation, but slightly different. If you'd pay the employee to buy a car the employee would have to pay taxes from this payment. However if you'd provide the employee...

SIXT Brings Award-Winning Lucid Air to Fleet in Germany

It is actually another type of the offer, that stays between usual car rental and leasing: long term rental AKA "car on subscription". It seems to be growing in Europe: new companies focused on this only appear, classic rental companies start offering it, car dealers start offering it too. My...

    2.4.10 Update

And that is exactly what semantic versioning is about. So 2.4.10 shouldn't be expected to bring new features that didn't exist in 2.4.0/2.4.2/2.4.4, it should be only about bug fixes. You can expect new features in 2.5.X etc

    Invasion of the Killer Ads?

It is relatively easy to run a GenAI LLM these days. It is quite difficult to train and run it right however. I'm not so much afraid that car manufacturers like Lucid will intentionally start recording all conversations and use them for targeted ads etc - it is so risky and toxic direction that...

    Software Versioning Explained

https://semver.org/ was mentioned already here. And it explain the purpose of every number right at the beginning: Given a version number MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH, increment the: MAJOR version when you make incompatible API changes MINOR version when you add functionality in a backward compatible...

    Bizarre Hey Lucid Interaction

Amazon, Google, Apple spent a lot of the time tuning their assistant to properly detect a magic command at a comparably low level, and to only start listening to you more carefully after this magic command. If they will be caught that they intentionally listen to all your conversations in your...

    Bizarre Hey Lucid Interaction

I'm shocked and can't believe it is happening in real life. I think it's very unlikely this "feature" will be deployed in Europe (it will be very likely against EU regulations). Still very unlikely I'll consider a car with this kind of homemade "assistant" that listens to all conversations all...

    Invasion of the Killer Ads?

Big Five might be not even the worse overall. Yes they can collect a lot of information, but they are also always on focus, so have to behave within some borders. Car manufacturers actually jumped over all of them, and now routinely have full unconditional control over your car. Google can't...

Lucid Air as a car to teach my teenage daughter driving?

And most of US. Percentage of plug-in passenger cars is use is 2.1% for the USA and 3.8% in EU. Historically Europeans love manual transmission. In some countries it rapidly changes, but in some other you still have to do driving exam on a manual transmission car. Also countries that signed...

Gravity Spec coming Oct 3 ?

Just found email in my "Advertisement" folder (that I never check...) that was set to subscribers of https://lucidmotors.com/de-ch/gravity on Sept 23th:

Gravity Spec coming Oct 3 ?

I don't understand discussions "does it look like an SUV or a minivan?". How does it matter? You either like how particular car looks like or don't. Why do you want to put it into some artificial category and then decide "I don't like it because I don't like this category"?

220v charging - anyway to limit amp draw

And this setup is against standards as 14-50 is supposed to provide up to 50A

220v charging - anyway to limit amp draw

And it should be relatively easy to implement it as the car has all required hardware already: it's the integrated Wunderbox who controls the current, the EVSE only tells it the maximum acceptable current using pretty dumb protocol over the control wire.
