Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

    1) We don't know is that the single occurrence or one of several 2) The single occurrence may not mean much for the company, but means a lot for the victim 3) If this is just "a single occurrence" it's every bigger question why the company decided to punish the person in this case

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

To get as much information as I can obviously. I've never said this. Yes I can pretty clearly say that Gravity GT is unlikely for me. Now because this is the only time Lucid finally shows details and prices. How did you expect me to do that before when nothis of this was available? Does it mean...

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Not yet. I have what to say against EX90 too. It's not so simple

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

This is usual misleading manipulation to make things cheaper than they are by splitting it over many monthly payments. I can just pay 10k out of the pocket, or pay it monthly - doesn't matter. But as I've said: I don't like unreasonable spending: 10k for something valuable - sure, 10k for...

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Well we have comment about promising better software in Gravity with obviously no experience with it and looks like no experience with EX90 either. And what I see in EX90 (and in all other EXnn, also in person) is already really good.

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Yes Yes, but I don't need it. I don't need sub 4 seconds. Even sub 6 seconds is more than enough for me. Good to have it faster? Sure! Pay for it? No - I don't like unreasonable spending, doesn't matter how big or small they are. That is pure speculations for now. Yes. However EX90 has it...

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

I definitely don't have plans to have anyone 6' tall to sit the 3rd row. Yes I have some friends and relatives that are even higher, but I can't imagine any scenario when I'll need to have 6 people 6'+ tall in our car. So again, not for our usage scenarios. I'd compare by myself If I could, but...

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

I don't understand: can't people who don't like some threads just stop watching them? Or does any thread that contains something negative about Lucid have to be locked? Does this thread break any policy?

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

I can't compare it as I've been siting in EX90 but not in Gravity. 1st and 2nd row are huge in EX90. 3rd row is smaller, but acceptable for us: during the last 6 years I never had a need to have 7 tall adults in my current car (and it is significantly smaller), so I was always able to find...

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Personally for me the comparison is with EX90. And right now Gravity is much more expensive: just base Grand Touring with only 7 seating option is $99,525. EX90 Ultra with Performance package is $90,640. And it includes already 7 seats, massage, active air suspension, heated steering wheel and...

    Lucid Gravity in the wild

Tesla superchargers don't have any screen to show anything do they? Maybe only looking at the instrumental screen of the car if it would be possible to see numbers there from outside.

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

I don't think the problem is with the storage: I don't believe Lucid doesn't have old images anymore stored somewhere. Yes, they are probably not available on the OTA server anymore, but shouldn't be completely lost. For some unknown reasons Lucid dealer decided to replace the TCU instead of...

    Vehicle Location Reset?

Lucid Air multimedia system is AAOS based isn't it? It may use Wi-Fi positioning system in locations where it can't use GPS, directly or just by calling Google Geolocation API. And the corresponding Wi-Fi location database my have wrong address for the Wi-FI AP that is visible where your car...

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

My understanding is that the clause is exactly about this stuff to not stay with the model when it changes the owner: the new owner of your current Air will not get everything that you got with the car.

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

looks very much like it. And that is not true. Money don't just come from nowhere. The 1st owner initially paid full price to Lucid, but then got some money back from the 2nd owner. And that means that the part of money Lucid got is from the 1st owner, the other part from 2nd one.

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

Exactly: this is not a decision. Yes, it clearly influencing my future decision. As everything else I know or will know. That exactly how people make decisions: based on all they are aware of. And yes, they are often not aware of everything.

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

And that is clearly bad design of the OTA protocol. Because there has to be clearly the difference between "your FW version is up to date" and "there was an error during checking for updates". And it is simple to implement: * The car periodically checks "Here am I. My current version is a.b.c...

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

Who are these people? Because I've checked what I've written in my messages and I don't see any decisions there. However at the end everyone makes decisions based on the information only available to them, that is usually not full, that means they make some guesses and assumptions.

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

Again: the owner of let's say 1 year old car brings exactly the same money to the car manufacturer and/or dealer doesn't matter is that still the 1st or already 2nd owner. Sure the 1st owner spent a lot of money, but they get some of this money back from the 2nd owner. So now the part of the...

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

Also if there is an important firmware update that hast to be done by some date I'd expect a premium car manufacturer to actively reach every owner whose car is not up to date after some time and tell them they need to do update, suggesting them to come to the car dealer if they can't/don't want...
