I’ve never heard of a manufacturers car warranty that doesn’t transfer to subsequent owners. I think some of Lucid’s phone support folks need a bit more training.

I think Lucid has a good shot at selling 200k cars in 2030, but if they do I can’t see the average selling price being $110k which is the basis of their assumptions. They will need their smaller car (and possibly smaller crossover) and will need to sell a lot of them.

I think Tesla reducing prices is great (and they were absurdly expensive before IMO). It’ll pressure other manufacturers to bring their EV prices down and increase options for those that can’t spend $70k on a car, and perhaps most importantly, help bring the end to dealer price gouging.

Cars (well, more specifically their drivers) already cause 43k deaths per year in the US. I’m not sure terrorists would beat that.

I think this is great. The S and X are still very expensive (and I think still considerably more than they were a couple years ago) but the 3 and Y drop is going to put a lot of pressure on the other manufacturers to price their EVs at a more affordable level. Sounds like it’s a bit of a mess. Out of Spec Motoring did a mini review and conclusion was they should spend less effort on over-the-top full expenses paid press events and promotion and more on actual engineering.

Agree- at least they are making steps to do something that will improve their customers’ experience rather than just sitting around & hoping the charge operators will eventually get their acts together.

I believe it’s 10,000 chargers worldwide. I interpret “stations” as a location…ie may have 1 charger there, may have 20.

That’s not good for current shareholders though. The more money the Saudis pump in the more existing shareholders get diluted. (And the larger the Saudi govt stake becomes, although at 2/3 owner other shareholders already won’t get much of a voice on anything that goes to shareholder vote).

If Lucid is uncomfortable with that a feature relying on cameras and radars only, then they could program DreamDrive to alert driver to take over when lane lines become difficult to see on non DDPro cars. I assume DDPro cars already do this when lane lines are not visible and no lead car exists.

Yahoo finance makes no sense. LCID still has negative earnings per share - I don’t see how they end up with a 12+ EPS based on that?

That’s good news in the end. On Lucid’s end it seems strange that a bad AC compressor could lead them to suspect the HV battery needed to be replaced.
