This is the right approach. It’s about making EVs accessible to those who might not be able to afford one and would have bought a gas powered vehicle instead. I doubt many Lucid customers would have said “oh, without the $7500 tax credit, I’ll buy a gas powered S-class instead”.
I actually sign into the app once a day to see if I get this message. I figure it will automatically start showing once a VIN is assigned. Right now it just shows “No vehicle linked”
Technically this should be feasible if the Lucid app shows the location of the car. I used to do it all the time on GM vehicles using the OnStar app. I arrived at the dealer as the truck was pulling up so I could watch it unload.
You might want to edit your post. In this day and age, I’m not sure it’s wise to post your mother’s maiden name in a public forum (even though it’s pretty easy to find out via other means too)
Have the tires been driven in very cold temperatures? Many summer only tires come with a warning not to drive on them if it’s very cold (< 20 degrees F) as that will cause them to crack. Both of my Corvettes came with such warnings.
Tesla takes any car in trade. I think their trade in program is actually run by Manheim (that’s what I saw on the paper work when trading in a non-Tesla vehicle for a new Tesla)
When I confirmed I asked if they had a trade in program like Tesla does and was told “not yet”. Has anyone heard anything about where they are with this?
I can’t imagine there will be too many cancellations absent those who have a significant change in their personal financial situation. What else would you buy? A Model S where shoddy quality is a given or an Air where an extended PDI will likely result in better quality
Meh. After getting used to the glass going over my head in my Model X, sitting in a car with a regular metal roof feels like peeking through a mail slot. Glass roof for me.
If you’re “lucky” enough to live in a state that requires a front license plate, you can get the license plate mounted EZPass transponder. I did that in my Model X because I didn’t want the transponder on the windshield.
