I have said it before - Lucid updates are not consistent across the fleet….so we can’t generalize the after effects. Most of us all know at this point of time, these will most likely create a few bugs for some users and not everyone. Let’s keep the thread going in a positive direction and not...
Hello and Welcome! 🙏
The car is simply amazing….the drive, build quality, premium feel, cabin roominess, range, and road presence is above all. Software and features are pretty much good and improving with regular robust updates.
Lucid End user software experience is not consistent across the fleet. My personal experience in 4 months of ownership has been slightly below average. CarPlay, Auto Door Unlock, App slow to wake up the car when needed, etc. are just a few recurring issues…..maybe they work for you well :).

Have you seen the Gravity in person? It’s gorgeous and screams luxury….but at the same time gives a minivan/crossover vibe for a 7 seater passenger vehicle. I don’t see a like to like comparison or stealing significant market share from the vehicles you mentioned above.
Exactly - but that’s 2-3 years away. Back to my original post….they would need 10s of billions of $$$ to stay afloat and it will be a long hard journey with the current market trends and ev sentiments. Key for lucid will be to invest massively in the software and end user experience to retain...
To an average person - it’s more or less a minivan style luxury suv for a 7 seater so let’s be realistic here.
If it was a midsize Tesla Model Y/3 mainstream model….then things would have been different and maybe a 50k plus annual volume .
Tesla sells over 100k plus Model Y/3 a month.
Main competition for Gravity is Model X which sells around 20k units every year. Do the math. And how many buyers are willing to spend 80k -120k on a minivan/crossover suv ?
Most likely 3-4 years away …and the funding they can secure for that time frame to stay alive.
Lucid’s short term future depends on the success of the gravity which will be released end of the year and the ability to scale production. They are producing 10k Airs yearly and let’s say another...
The problem with lucid updates is that the production release bugs are not common/similar across the fleet. Different users have different issues, experiences and hence the disconnect and surround sound in this forum.
Let’s hope the 3.0, or whatever the next major overhaul is in store...
I have also noticed that these issues/bugs are not common across the entire fleet. It affects different builds/trims and varies so much for each user. My CarPlay and door open behavior was rock solid when I bought the car in April for the first 2 months. It started acting up and was completely...
2 scenarios that are inter-related. Scenario 1 - My car opening when it gets near to the phone works 50/50. I have tried air reset multiple times and also followed the video instructions that you published for mobile key re install etc. Scenario 2 - Once doors fail to open …I try launching...
Same here. 4 months into the 18 month lease and the app on my iPhone 15 pro max is mostly/extremely slow to respond and wake up the car when needed.
Most times - the so called “self presenting auto door unlocking” feature is either too slow or fails. In that use case - mobile app taking so...
Tht’s just another excuse. Glass roof, moon roof or anything body fender related…due to cameras, sensors etc. tech is supposed to make life and costs easier not expensive. Nothing costs 20-30k for a minor scrape or ding. That’s the reason that I got a zero deductible policy for both collision...
