Took my Lucid to the holey lands

Haha-- is that a Hot Wheels car perched on an overlook railing? Very clever. Beautiful pic.

    Route 66 Fun Run

Thanks for sharing! I'll look forward to that adventure. I got a kick out of the picture of the Corvettes with the dinosaur (were you saying something? :) ). And the Hot Wheels!!!

My first unscheduled service: AT thinks it's charging

I didn't know about those-- thank you. I wonder if those do deeper resets or reset different systems? Anyway, no, I can't try them at this point, because the Pilot Panel doesn't get past the starry sky display before the car goes back to sleep.

    Floor mats!

I confess, I didn't read all 31 pages, so apologies if someone already noted this. Being in the land of almost-never-rain, I still want nice plush carpeted floor mats, but the light colored Santa Cruz floor mats get dirty too quickly. I haven't yet found a nice solution for the front seats...

My first unscheduled service: AT thinks it's charging

My AT is just under four weeks old and has a little over 1200 miles on it. Anticipating its first trip, I went to EA on Friday and charged up to 80 percent, and then had plenty of time to top up at home. But when charging at home, it gained another 30-ish miles of range before an unexpected...

    Route 66 Fun Run

What were the most memorable parts of the event? Most fun? Coolest cars / things you saw? And how did people react to the car in Kingman? Based on your stats, it sounds like I should be able to make the uphill trip to Kingman comfortably without stopping, but I'd better charge to 100% before...

    Route 66 Fun Run

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm hoping to make it next year. We arrived in Kingman late last night, and our Lucid couldn't make the trip-- it's getting picked up from our garage for its first unscheduled service when we return. I hope to hear your stats on energy consumption, especially for the fast...

    Route 66 Fun Run

Good luck and have fun! If I'm lucky I may see you in Kingman-- I'll be there visiting family. Not sure if I'll have the Lucid there, though-- more likely, our minivan.

What is the best way to come off ACC with High Regen?

Just curious, are you able to tell the right point by the increasing resistance of the pedal? I'm starting to try that. My right foot is still learning :)

    EPA efficiency rating confusion

That could be just as true in so many other cars too. And so many other cars make that information available to the driver in the instrument cluster so drivers can consider on the fly how their driving behavior is influencing their efficiency. When it's on the Pilot Panel, I basically only get...

    EPA efficiency rating confusion

Thanks to both Adnillien and GMan. You're right. I noticed today that the trip computer only includes energy consumption when the car is not in Park. One more related question. I've seen so many images of the Glass Cockpit showing not just the miles driven since last charge, but the energy...

Beyond excited to be joining you from Chandler, AZ!

Full-size suitcases or carry-ons can be laid down anywhere in the C5/C6 cargo holds. The C7 generation had much less height to work with which is why it was rated at only 15 cubes. I wish I had a picture from one of my Costco runs to give you perspective on just how big it was. That said, I...

Beyond excited to be joining you from Chandler, AZ!

Yes indeed! C5 Corvettes had an even bigger 25 cubes! So now when you see C5 and C6 Corvettes at Costco, you'll know they can haul a lot more than you-know-what. Here's a pic of my cargo hold-- and it also has a couple of hidden compartments under the floor (one of which is occupied by the...

    EPA efficiency rating confusion

Hydbob and Adnillien, thank you so much-- that clarifies a lot. So MPGe is based on the energy coming out of the wall socket, and range is what could be accomplished with a fully charged battery. So if the number I see on my Pilot Panel is 4.6 (which maybe I'll achieve in October/November...

    EPA efficiency rating confusion

Hey crew, here's my first question for the forum, and included in it, hopefully some consolation for my fellow owners: My AT with 19s has a quoted range of 425 miles, and the battery pack is indicated to be 92kWh. 425 mi / 92 kWh = 4.6 mi/kWh, a figure I've seen quoted here, along with...

Beyond excited to be joining you from Chandler, AZ!

It is good-- it'll fit a carry-on. The combined cargo space in the C8 is just under 13 cubic feet, remarkable for a mid-engine supercar. The cargo space in the C6 is 22 cubes, comparable to the Lucid's trunk. I can easily fit a bicycle and its gear back there, plus a weekend's luggage...

    Hold Mode Disappeared

I've had it happen too. Having driven a manual transmission before, now that I know to be ready for this, it's not as bothersome, but it was definitely unnerving the first time. Over the course of one drive, it can switch behaviors back and forth without me changing settings, and that is on...

If you're anywhere near the Chandler campus, you're more likely to see me commuting on my bicycle. If you stop at a stoplight next to a friendly guy on an exotic-looking road bike, that's me :) I live near Pecos and McQueen.

Beyond excited to be joining you from Chandler, AZ!

I've only heard it on videos. I've never heard the car in person, only seen it. I still remember the first time I heard a C6 Z06 uncork it, that was already epic going to 7000. Really looking forward to hearing the C8. OTOH, so many people say people who buy Corvettes don't care about the...

    Arizona

Does that make us twins? I got my white metal-roof Touring the day before (shout out to Brandon, my excellent delivery specialist). This is my first post in the Arizona forum. Even with the metal roof, I'm surprised how warm the car is. I had ceramic tint on my lots-of-glass C6 'Vette which...
