    Gravity Delivery Discussion

There's a ton of grip from the optional 21-inch front and 22-inch rear tires — yes, the Gravity has staggered-size front and rear wheels, how cool is that? (There's also an available 22-inch front and 23-inch rear setup, or 20s in front and 21s in the rear.) Body roll Read More...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

"Unfortunately, no car is perfect, and neither is the Gravity. My test car and a few others at the first drive event had some fit, finish and tech issues. One of the most egregious was on my production-unit test car a nearly three-quarter-inch misalignment between the door card and dashboard...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Interesting the reviews are being done on the 21/22's, I still think they have production constraint on the big wheels and tires....

    Lucid's Future

I think CEER is 100% the intended customer for Lucid's drivetrain production put into a different lower cost less sophisticated brand....

    Lucid's Future

A lot of Automotive industry experts have stated somewhere between 300-400k volume is necessary to make the scale needed to be sustainably profitable. If you lower that volume, then you need to maintain brand image and price. Even BMW has 2.2million cars sold but they have a 1 series FWD car...

Lucid Motors wins bankruptcy auction for Nikola’s Arizona factory and other assets

Right but those are more functional and hard requirements, you can't deny the actual aesthetics of the outside bodies at least of the Vantage V8 and BMW Z8.

Lucid Motors wins bankruptcy auction for Nikola’s Arizona factory and other assets

He just needs to be ringfenced in Design, not allowed to touch money.

Interesting Lucid Air Posts by Two Major Sites Today

For what it's worth my wife watched that review with me (2+ years ago) and was extremely turned off and concerned about the car. And now she loves the Air and Lucid.

Interesting Lucid Air Posts by Two Major Sites Today

Yeah the original complaints were entirely focused on build quality and the tech and gadgets and completely ignored the actual car hardware, driving sophistication, EV range and efficiency, performance, space etc.

Lucid Motors wins bankruptcy auction for Nikola’s Arizona factory and other assets

Yes buying factory at 90% discount AND most importantly a massively shortened time frame is a good move. PIF may have huge funds, but LCID absolutely needed to pivot to more capital efficiency rather than building everything themselves from scratch. Even Tesla started out and has always been...

Days Since The Last Major Feature Release... Yikes!

I expect in Q2 they will release a big update for the Air that will port back stuff from Gravity, especially since it needs some route planning for Tesla access. Hopefully the charging AMP control comes to Air as well.

    Question about Air Touring Width

I think it's 2nd is max width excluding the mirrors, so the widest part after that is the body on the rear fender haunches. The mirrors fold-in quite tightly. There is a way to use home link or some automation to fold the mirrors in location-wise. I had to get used to it the first few months...

    Miles/Kwh

I did this recently too, I feel trip A is looking for some condition to reset and start counting KW if you reset it on the move. Ie like you need to be below some certain speed before it restarts.

    Gravity 75 mph Range

The Hankook tires are quite a bit better on rolling resistance than anything on the Air GT.

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

It's to give the car more rear torque bias for balance for power out of corners, handling etc.. Lucid also when driving in smooth under light load is effectively 2WD.

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

Yes, and Rivian's 400V battery and thermal cooling is the main limiting factor.

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

I wouldn't guarantee a shorter ratio is less efficient. It's not like an ICE engine that burns more gas at higher RPM and outside of the VE/BSFC; and Lucid's motors are setup for more mid-range, and they are most efficient at their mid-speed to highway speed. The 8.7:1 is offset by the motor's...
