The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

A couple of other tidbits of data emerged from today's info deluge: The curb weight of the 7-seater is 5,966 pounds and the 5-seater 5840 pounds. (Surprising that a 126-pound weight difference shaves 13 miles off the max EPA range.) The Gravity does not use electrical fuses as most cars do --...

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

The reviewer made an interesting comment toward the end. He showed up at the event without being invited, but Lucid let him do 3 hours of testing with a car as well as making personnel available. And he said there were no limits put on what he could publish and that he was free to be as...

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

Yep, I saw that, too, and I'm hoping that's what it was. But as it now has multiple settings, I'm wondering if you can call up a display of momentary usage?

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

Okay, my head's about to explode from trying to track all this, but here's a rundown of press headlines so far this morning. I really don't think I've ever seen anything like it: I Drove the Lucid Gravity . . . This Changes Everything (Everyday Chris) The Lucid Gravity was Worth the “Weight”...

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

One thing worried me a bit. In two of the videos (I should have been taking notes as to which and when) the drivers noted the car was getting about 2.2 miles/kWh. They weren't clear if that was the momentary usage or the usage measured over a certain prior period. However, in one of the shots...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

??? All the videos I've seen this morning are on the 22/23" wheels, as were the other Gravities you could see in the background shots.

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

Well, one thing I did find so far, and it relates to my ongoing staggered wheel bug-a-boo. Drake Moschkau said he asked why the wheel sizes were staggered and he, as was Kyle Conner, was told it was a cosmetic "design choice".

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

I just read this along with two other reviews posted by @Blue Lectroid. In my years of gorging on car reviews I can't remember any ever being as consistently raved about as this vehicle.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Damn. Simply damn. In my decades of gorging on car reviews, I can't remember ever seeing a vehicle this well received by multiple reviewers.

Four press reviews just went up you YouTube in the past half hour.

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

Four Gravity review videos just posted this morning on YouTube.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Honestly, though . . . just how many times can Lucid "introduce" the Gravity? This press release actually raises more questions than it answers. Other than "officially" announcing the charge rates that were revealed over a week ago in the Conner and Moloughney videos, there is no new...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

As the date -- whatever it turns out to be -- nears for Gravity delivery, I'm actually sort of hoping it's not in the next few weeks. That rather weird December 30 delivery event of only 9 cars followed by a 3-month hiatus before even a handful of production units appeared as showroom demos...

    Electrify America subscription

Although he was discussing Gravity charging, Kyle Conner ("Out of Spec Motoring") reported in his recent charging tests that using the Lucid mobile app to initiate and pay for charging was not compatible with the subscription discount plans of either Electrify America or Tesla Superchargers at...

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

    I think I've been everywhere too long . . . .

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Well, that was college. What do they know? 🙃

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

You're probably right in your calculation. Sorta drat, though, from my perspective.

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

I'm actually gratified by this, as I was hoping the Dreams wouldn't be the first cars off the line this time around.

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

Just got email confirmation that the switch to a Dream went through. So if there is a 450-car limit on the production run, orders haven't yet hit it. I made this change because, the more we thought about it, we decided that holding out for the colors we wanted (Lunar Titanium / Ojai) wasn't...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Actually, Mark Winterhoff said cars would arrive at showrooms beginning in April -- and we're only halfway through -- not at the beginning of April. From the link you provided earlier: "We have nearly completed building vehicles for studios and test drives and expect them to begin arriving at...
