Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

Same here. Love the Lucid Air and have a large stock position in the company. And I am among the diehard fans of Lucid technology and products. But . . . the dichotomy between the engineering side of the house and the marketing side of the house emerges yet again in this HUD flap. Lucid's...

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

The sanctuary mode is one of the features included in Dynamic Ambient Lighting section of the Tech Package.

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

True . . . all other things being equal. But the smaller Lucid wheels come with all-season tires. The ferociously grippy new Pirelli PZ5s on the 22/23" wheels are not available in sizes for the smaller wheels. You're going to see traction control kicking in to cut power a lot quicker on the...

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

Since the much-hyped "sanctuary mode" is also disappearing from the GT along with the HUD, I'm thinking this might have something to do with cost and availability of chips rather than just HUD hardware.

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

Well, maybe not quite all of us, as no one has seen anything but computer simulations of it in action four months after deliveries of "production models" supposedly began. (Which brings up an interesting question: will those GTs have support of their HUDs?). Don't get me wrong; it's not a...

    Choosing gravity GT vs DE

Something @JoshG posted about his test drive yesterday reminded me of something that had slipped my mind: Lucid gives the same 3.4 second 0-60 acceleration time for the Air Touring and the Gravity Grand Touring. Here's what we know about the specs of some other Lucid models and trims, assuming...

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

As we sit drumming our fingers wondering why deliveries haven't started, things are becoming murkier rather than clearer. Lunar Titanium, a color that was on the show car in November 2023, will not be available until year end 2025. Supernova Bronze, available at order opening, is now moved out...

    Test drives?

That is dealing with a refundable deposit, though. I'm not sure a non-refundable deposit for a specific model could be applied to a different model.

    Test drives?

No chance of backing out. My comments were about Lucid's sales organization, with which I've had widely varying experiences (some quite good) but too often find very poorly armed with reliable information that you might expect sales people to have. But I'm a rock solid fan of the vehicles...

    Test drives?

I doubt it. When the Gravity Dream orders opened, I tried to convert the order I had already placed for a Grand Touring. I had to cancel that order and place a new order, and the Grand Touring deposit could not be applied to the Dream. I had to pay a second deposit and request a refund of the...

    Test drives?

I did not get the invitation, either. We own an Air Dream and have two Gravity Dreams on order, one of which was ordered within a couple of hours of orders opening up. Our Air was delivered out of West Palm Beach, so I called there yesterday to inquire about signing up for a test drive. They...

The Press Embargo Has Been Lifted

Yes, in some videos a while back there was mention of an accessory mattress for camping.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I remember seeing this in one of the videos from the first week of Press Week. As near as I could tell (but far from certain), all the Gravities that Lucid provided for road tests had the 22/23" wheels with the P Zeros. I saw some 21/22" wheel sets on the approach/departure angle...

    Flaps Under Front Fender

I meant that, even though I ordered them while I was at a service center, Lucid's central parts warehouse shipped them directly to my home instead of sending them to the service center where I would have had to pick them up.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Now we're really talking changing one's tune. You've been so anxious to get your hands on one that you seemed ready to take it in any state of readiness.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Nothing has changed about my tune. After I reported that I got the call yesterday I posted that I had still hoped that the Dream Editions would not be first off the line. And it is for the very reason that I still am worried that the cars given to the press had the problems they did. However...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I had a talk with our sales advisor today, and he really didn't have a lot of information yet. He said Lucid had contacted him to ask me to confirm the configuration on both cars so that they could be put into production. He took that to mean they are entering the production queue but had no...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I get that. I did get to sit in an early Air prototype but did not get to drive one before we took delivery of our Air Dream in 2021. But that car turned out to be everything it was promised to be in terms of power and driving dynamics (although no so much in early software iterations), so I'm...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

My sales advisor contacted me by text message this afternoon (Easter Sunday, surprisingly), so we didn't actually talk. I was on the way to dinner with friends so only texted him back to confirm the order configurations were my final intent. He said he'd be in the studio tomorrow at 11:00 a.m...
