Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

The speed at which they recovered from this is remarkable, IMHO. They are apparently up to 70 cars per day, which puts them at a pace of roughly 17,500/yr if you say there are 250 working days in a year. The real supply chain issues didn’t hit until late last year, so only being one year behind...

Please keep us updated. My Costa Mesa DA has not responded in over a week now.

Oh wow. By car arrived, you mean that was the date you could have taken delivery? 4 days including the entire weekend is rather impressive. I suspect we won’t all get that timing by default.

Adding the car to USAA and they had no issues with finding my VIN (I’d say possibly less than an hour after it was assigned).

After checking the website non-stop, happy to report I just got my VIN

What day did you get your VIN?

Doesn’t bode well for my fully-loaded Black/Tahoe Touring that still doesn’t have a VIN. It’s possible they are already building the not fully-loaded cars in parallel. If they can complete more deliveries of more expensive cars by EOY, that drives up Q4 revenue faster.

Great seeing a Tahoe interior with the prospect of VIN to delivery in less than one week.

No one can accurately answer this. The dashboard has been up for maybe three days at this point.

I think it was more like a 1-2 week time frame but everyone had different circumstances and I think the more recent deliveries will be more telling. Also sounds like you might have obtained a VIN for a car that’s already built rather than some of us, whose cars are still in pieces, so it could...

    Lucid vs Mercedes/BMW not Tesla

It’s kind of misleading that S/X are grouped together for the purpose of this discussion. Apparently Tesla sold 11,555 Model S sedans in 2021. SUVs are by far and away the biggest sellers in the US, so hopefully Lucid has some success with Gravity.

I’ve personally never seen it posted, but I also pretty much just stick to this thread. Do you believe it’s inaccurate? It’s responsive to the question. If you post a detailed response to HariK’s question I’ll delete the post. Fair?

Also have Russell as my DA. He indicated he normally does not work on Sunday or Monday, but Tuesday AM texts have generally, successfully prompted a response. I’m less than 100 miles away so I have (have a friend) take delivery there. On Lucid’s end, my delivery is still “scheduled” for this...

Yea… I told my DA I was interested in Red/Tahoe if it meant EOY delivery over Black/Tahoe. No word back yet

This assumes they are overworked. I can’t imagine how they fill their day but I have no insight into what they actually do. But I agree. Use a computer, save costs.

I second this. The two credit unions I applied to granted me 60 day rate locks so I’m not worried about running out of time. With only 30 day rate locks though, there’s always a risk, which is why you should consider applying to more than one place. P.S. I don’t intend on using Lucid’s own...

I too will have a Sam Jackson. I’m seeing in loan button today as well. Black/Tahoe. Hopefully this isn’t just some new policy and they’re going to start handing our cars out like they’re Oprah.

    Finance Rates

Blu Peak (I think only for CA residents) gave me 3.89% for $125K at 72 months and 10% down. The person I’ve been dealing with is extremely nice and helpful, and lives in the same city. The website seems much better than average, especially for a credit union. I initially requested $100K...

I wish. Costa Mesa pickup for me as well but simplified to SD in the post for familiarity.
