I think you showed an example of variant rather than tiering but I got your point. I'm not sure if they can hit a boarder market by software limiting HP. What I can tell is that they didn't hit me.
This is exactly what I'm nervous about. I'm afraid they are going to software limit the RWD down to 300ish HP just for the purpose of tiering(which they are really obsessed with IMO).
I bet a significant portion of the 34,000 reservation holders were attracted by $69,900. I expected to see less than 30,000 people convert their reservations into actual orders eventually.
Highway assist is not 3 weeks old. It's at least a year old and was in the standard DD.

Honestly speaking, not everyone is able/willing to stretch themselves to get the features(like lane centering) that were once promised to get. This is especially true during a recession. I expect to see more cancelations coming if they continue these Porsche-like tricks to nickel-and-dime people.
Insta360 one x uses two cameras to achieve 360 view. Considering a car has a box shape, four cameras should be good enough to get a surround view. I don't know what is stopping Lucid.
I bet they will never come to the US. Especially BYD, the "Huawei" in automotive industry. IMO, their LFP blade battery is really good. I wish all cars to use the safer LFP batteries.
