Why is there such a variation in the availability of mobile service between service centers?

Please don't take this as a complaint about the people in my local service center. They are nice enough and seem competent. I am currently dealing with an the warning "Drive System Warning - Contact Customer Care". CC referred me to my SC. My SC called, but can neither access the car's logs...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

"legal reasons"? You mean that a supplier's contract specifies that Lucid cannot say something is broken, even if it is in fact broken? That would be a pretty strange contract. No one is asking for Lucid to name the faulty component much less the manufacturer. It is important to be honest...

    Unlocking with mobile key unreliable

I have a crazy idea. Why doesn't Lucid engineering take two or three of us who have repeatable problems and arrange to meet us - with our phones - at a service center. Bring your instrumentation and bluetooth protocol analyzer. Put a data logger on the car. Have each of us do our rain-dance...

    Software Update 2.3.10

I have been suffering with poor mobile key unlock performance for months and tried several fixes. I recently added prompts for PIN to my troubles. The 2.3.10 update did not improve my iPhone mobile key performance, nor did it help with the "always asking for PIN" behavior. Multiple hard...

    Driver seat height won't adjust

I had this problem. It was intermittent, but survived logo resets and software upgrades. It eventually grew to include other seat adjustment problems. I took it in to my SC and they diagnosed that the entire seat needed to be replaced, which they did. Just expect to have your car in the shop...

    Wind noise

The clips are internal and there isn't a great way to access them without taking apart the assembly. Sorry. But just to restate: my SC rep said this was a warranty repair that is available to anyone experiencing difficulties. And while I had just one door that had actually failed, they took...

    Wind noise

I'm unable to find a mention of the available warranty service related to wind noise, so here's my $0.02. Today I took my AGT to Beverly Hills SC and was assisted by the very able Matthew. My concern was that the rear driver's side door black trim, at the top, had bent and needed to be removed...

    Home Assistant Automations

Thanks for this contribution. It works great. I'm an HA newbie. Where can I adjust the update rate? It looks like some folks are getting pretty frequent server updates in order to make those nice charging graphs. I understand that leaving update at a fast rate all the time might be...

Motor Trend: Power + Money: 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire vs. Tesla Model S Plaid!

Thanks. I think you answered my question with that link: they made changes to the performance-related stuff (motor cooling, battery thermal logic, and battery performance). These are great improvements to have achieved, because they might trickle down to lower-demand cars in the future. But...

Motor Trend: Power + Money: 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire vs. Tesla Model S Plaid!

The MT guys really, really like the Sapphire's handling. So that begs a question: Does anyone know if the Sapphire platform is different than the other Airs, specifically my AGT? I get that there is the obvious difference of the extra motor, and that alone will affect performance and perhaps...

Charging Performance after 2.1.52 HV Preconditioning improvements

@Cossa Very cool data. I've been hoping to get that kind of data for myself. It's prompted me to try Home Assistant and the cool tools developed by folks on this forum. Could you kindly plot the data in the format used by the State of Charge graph? That is, plot battery charge state vs KW...

    Custom plates in CA

You didn't ask, but you know that you can order "decal" style plates for the front bumper? These have the advantage of not messing up the nice aerodynamics of the car. I like mine. https://licenseplatewrap.com/

Frunk opened in response to shifting contents

I don't think it's so much "heavy" items, as much as items that could tip over.. If the item is tall enough to reach the button, and you decelerate even modestly, it has the potential to hit the button. Even a standard piece of luggage would fit this description.

    Cup Holder To Tight

Vendors have been designing cup holders for decades. Any one of those designs would have been fine. Instead, Lucid had to re-engineer a new type of cup holder, and get the dimensions wrong. I think this design mistake is emblematic of the poor design decisions that have plagued us so much...

Frunk opened in response to shifting contents

Well, if this button functions as a trunk release, then it needs to have a cover or be placed such that shifting contents can't activate it. Regarding "tying down" the contents - to what? There are no attachment points. I suggest that in future designs they should relocate the button to be on...

Frunk opened in response to shifting contents

I think there is a serious flaw in the location of the Frunk's internal "close" button. At least, I think that's the problem. I had a tool bucket in the Frunk. It's a five gallon paint bucket with a cloth pocket system. It's not particularly heavy - maybe 20 pounds that day. Certainly less...

    EA Megathread

I can't find that anyone has posted yet about EA's announcement for their "Cycle 4" investment plan in California. https://media.electrifyamerica.com/en-us/releases/231 It's a weird document - lots of almost-technical information, but mostly written to announce that with the Cycle 4...

2023 LUCID AIR PURE NOT TAKING OTA FOR 2.2.18 & 2.2.20 IS HAPPING TO ANYONE?

Happened to me. I called CS and they fixed it in a few minutes, while I was on the phone.

OTA Updates should have geofencing options

It is true that there are numerous warnings. And I did schedule it for a later time. But I saw those warning in the morning, and my plans changed that evening. That happens. The point is that computers are supposed to do things for us, not the other way around. I'm not supposed to be...

OTA Updates should have geofencing options

Last night, I got stuck in a parking lot waiting for the OTA Update to complete. I had casually accepted the update earlier, in the morning. I didn't pay much attention to what time it was scheduled to occur. But later in the day we decided to go out, and then we stayed much later than we...
