The Lucid Charging Plan upgrade has nothing to do with the credit card that you must have on file in your Lucid account to cover possible idle fees with free charging. They are two separate things. If you want to use your free charging, you HAVE to have a credit card on file in your Lucid...

With no such upgrade, I have charged multiple times with no charge other than a $75 pre-authorization fee that goes away if you have free charging and don't incur an idle fee. The upgrade has nothing to do with it.

Check your VIN number. If the 7th space is an 'E', you may already be running at 619 HP. If there's an 'F' there, you've been de-tuned. I was F'ed!!! :-) Just for grins, I took my VIN, changed the 7th position from an 'F' to and 'E', and reran the VIN checker. Sure enough, the altered VIN...

This is absolutely incorrect. My VIN is F (480 HP touring motors, but de-tuned) and dual motor. The Pure RWD is more like 430 HP.

As @timpossible said, the easy place to see your build date is on the VIN placard inside the driver's door. I believe that only the model year code is embedded in the VIN. BTW, there is no need to pay for a VIN decoder. There are free ones. .

As for the 2023 Pure AWDs in general... I keep wondering when, if ever, a power upgrade to 462 kW / 619 HP will be offered. I imagine that similar upgrades would be possible across the entire lineup. God knows that Sapphire dog needs a few more horsepower!!!
