Perhaps he is setting up a comparison for the first Gravity road trip.

    Lucid air vs my m5

I just road tripped a 2018 488 spider 1261 miles from Salt Lake City through Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef, Moki Dugway, Monument Valley, and finishing in Colorado Springs. I’ve driven some of the same roads in my DE. The Ferrari was much more comfortable than I anticipated. Of course fueling the...

220v charging - anyway to limit amp draw

The Lucid charger only has 2 240 options at this time. 14-50 plug that will draw 40 amps and the 14-30 which will draw 24A. Lucid does not currently have software capability to set a lower limit. It is possible, but unknown if they will ever implement. Below is a link for a third party charger...

    Level 2 - J1772 (@32A) charging questions

20-80 is a range used by many. If want to be even easier on the battery you could use 40-60. For daily driving use I charge to 80% and plug in when I pull into the garage below 50% so I stay in the 40-80 range most of the time.

    Level 2 - J1772 (@32A) charging questions

My experience is there is about 600w of overhead for level 2 charging so you would add about 6.6kWh per hour. 7.5% for 88kWh battery. 90% in 12 hours so you should have no problems going to 80%. 600w is for my DE and Lucid continues to make improvements so possible newer cars have less...

This was my dry first request back in December of 2021.

    80% vs 100% charge

Exactly how charging via Level 2 to 100% once a week compares to dc fast charging once a week from 20-80 has many variables. I would not be afraid to charge to 100% on level 2 once or twice a week if that is what makes you most comfortable / happy with the car. I have no plans to be a Million...

Lucid is changing my HV battery

My HV battery was replaced last month also. I had not had any appreciable battery degradation over 2 1/2 years and 27k miles. The car was operating normally and the change was done as part of a campaign. Service was great. My DE after a handful of minor issues early has been trouble free. The...

    Permanent button for Homelink

I have DE #40 and my first customer response to Lucid included Homelink needs improvement. Still waiting. I bought a second Air. I still want to see improvement, but the Air is still the best car I've ever owned without fixing the shitty Homelink implementation.

Help! Drove Over a Curb. Advice Appreciated

If inspection indicates the tire is still good, it is as simple as gluing the small pieces back in place. A little fine sand paper to clean it up after it dries.

    Is this old news? Recall

125 deliveries in 2021 and 4369 in 2022. I believe they built just over 7000 cars in 2022.

Buying a Used Dream Edition Performance in 2024

Similar for me. DE#40 had a few mostly minor issues early, but has been very reliable.

The mountain is paved to the top now and a beautiful day. We just had to clean off the champagne. Here it is at Exotics car show at #Hartness Hotel. I drove it over from the shop and parked it at the house overnight. 😁

Amazing that so many cars warn you about the garage wall in front of you, when you are in reverse.

    Sapphire, Taycan or E-Tron GT

Cars rarely make financial sense. If you want a deal on a 1000+ HP car, buy a used Air DE. You want the best sports sedan available, buy a Sapphire. It will be interesting to see what a "used" Sapphire goes for. I had concerns with the Air software, but it kept getting better and better. I...

    Lucid CEO critiques other EV-SUVs

I don't expect the Gravity software to be anything like the Air. There is 25x the processing power in the Gravity. I expect the Gravity software to be significantly better than the Air. Unfortunately, I do not expect many of the improvements to make it to my #40 DE. I expect the Gravity...
