How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

As I recall this was covered in a battery tech YouTube edu post by Lucid. I believe it was that over multiple charge/discharge cycles each stack of cells run in series is "tuned" in control electronics to produce a uniform 900+ volts across all the parallel cell stacks in the pack. This produces...

    Average mi/kwh

You can't get it on the driver's screen (where it belongs) in V2 (it was there in v1). It is (on V2.0.15 at least, yes, out of date now as my car is in the shop) on the pilot panel (SLC/TripA/TripB... I forget the nav sequence to get there (2 months without the car is a long time after only 2...

    Issues on brand new car

I've also had it read a "minimum speed" sign's value and thought it was the current speed limit (as I recall it was somewhere on I-95 in the SE US). Recent SW updates may have addressed this (as this was back in early Nov 2022... still waiting to get our car back from the body shop, sigh).

    Bugs and System Validation

That is just an old hat distributed computing system, software & hardware techniques that have existed in one form or another for many decades. Standard networking has the ability for a data generator to send data to a specific recipient, or to all recipients, or to a set of recipients... both...

    Pulling into a parking space

If you do the math, the 21" rim size has a final wheel diameter that is 0.1" larger than those of the 19" rim (that's 0.05" more road clearance, not less). This is comparing the 245/45/19 to the 245/35/21 front tire (comparing the 265/35/21 gives you a 6x (0.3") more road clearance in the rear)...

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

I'd much rather see this info on a Lucid hosted web page (with information for every software level released).... pretty much what is standard best practice for software (and has been for many years, even if many don't practice it).

[RESOLVED] Yikes! at 107 Miles and now - what seems like a significant system meltdown on my new Air.

That's not how cell or wifi communications work. While you can build an unreliable data channel, you would have to work harder at doing so than you do to use the reliable data channel option that exists (and we have been told that the car is based upon tech such as Android, so that reliable...

    Vampire Drain

Compared to earlier reports I thought 0.75%/day was relatively low (though I do see some reports down in the 0.25%/day). I don't think it is due to the fob being close, as the car spent much of that time parked in a storage lot, and the office is far (many hundreds of feet) from where the car...

[RESOLVED] Yikes! at 107 Miles and now - what seems like a significant system meltdown on my new Air.

If it was validating the update before attempting to apply it then the description of this failed update would not have been as written... whatever the technology is to validate the update before application, the problem write up indicates that the update failed due to the update having been...

    Cold weather battery tips

Phone battery hygiene tells us that it is indeed back to keep a charged phone plugged in (same basic use case) as it consumes charge cycle and in today's Li batteries these are a limited resource (the battery starts to degrade due to internal chemical changes). This is why it is better to run...

    Spare tire

Wow, the car is delivered with what appears to be an interior/insufficient OEM tire... Lucid should be standing behind their product on this and not passing the buck for their own bad decision on what tire to put on the car.

[RESOLVED] Yikes! at 107 Miles and now - what seems like a significant system meltdown on my new Air.

I would not call this "resolved". A customer with a set of symptoms of the root cause has had those symptoms addressed, but the root problem still exists... waiting to snare another customer.

[RESOLVED] Yikes! at 107 Miles and now - what seems like a significant system meltdown on my new Air.

That is a great description of a failure of basics for updating software... it is really quite old hat (basic OTA update 101) to have something (as simple as a parts list and check sum(s)) on an update to insure that it all has arrived in one piece. That this software system can "update" with a...

    Phone Sound Quality

There are lots of 3rd party sites which make such feature comparisons between software products all the time. And I have worked for (major within their niche) software companies which regularly asked the products' customers to give them input on where to invest effort in terms of both new...

    Vampire Drain

We've been running an (involuntary, 20 days into ownership we were tail ended, putting the car into a body shop) little experiment of letting our AGT sit idle (other than periodically poking at it to see the current State of Charge). We are currently 45 days into this experiment, which started...

    Drive System Fault

If the sw (& hw) was doing the job, we wouldn't have "don't know" type responses... been there, cleaned up messes like these.

    Drive System Fault

This looks to me to be another example of bad software. The software noted something to cause it to pop that warning, and there needs (in EVERY such case) to be a log entry made with a unique indicator of what test in the software failed (along with lots of other diagnostic information).

    Insurance Megathread

Note that I believe unlike many insurance companies, State Farm is "mutualized" (I believe that roughly translates into "owned by the policy holders"), and thus has incentive to keep prices low (while still running a successful business). I am currently waiting on my GT's return after (20 days...
