About to take delivery of your new Air? Check these items first!

Wow, I have to wonder just what that means... as well as why there isn't a setting externalized to the user to set the wheel size... and what the implications are for changing tire brands too...

Tire blow out and jack point

Performance is more than just straight line speed... the lower profile tires should have better handling characteristics (at least in track like settings)... not that most people need that (we have 19" wheels, which are just fine, and better on rougher roads).

Just got your Air? Common questions answered!

Unless you use a Samsung S22 (or later, perhaps others too) with Android 12 (or later, perhaps others too)... then the phone app only unlocks the car if you open the app (it will not work in the background). This is a known (but not solved) problem. I wish that they had used UWB (Ultra Wide...

    Radar detector location ?

Yes, LiDAR is a laser... I am using an Escort RedLine 360c (all bands enabled) and have had no problems with false alerts (and have confidence that it is also picking up the real stuff out there too). Its mounted low & center on the windshield with power coming from a USB-A to 12v converter...

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

I believe that raises legal or regulatory issues of some sort...

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

I use them backing up... this would be a disaster for many (despite cameras).

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

Yes, an Otterbox (forget which, not the extreme one), making them too thick to seat.

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

A standard water bottle (such as is used on a bicycle) does not fit. The same is true for many other standard sized bottles. Likewise, larger iPhones and Samsung phones do not fit in the phone charger/holder when they are in a case. Just say'n...

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

This is not a car issue, it is the app... if the app is open (nothing more) it unlocks. I have reported this multiple times and there isn't really even ack of the problem, which is a problem.

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

Thank you. This indicates it is not a Pixel or Samsung issue, but more likely Android wide. Yes, our fobs also work. All the world is not Apple. Lucid, own up that you have an Android issue and fix it!

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

Oh yes, Lucid app dev can't do a working Android app in over a year, so time for all its clients to become Apple droids... good call!

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

I would like to have the app actually unlock the car when the app is not open... yes, I must open the app before my phone and the car will agree that I am present and that it should unlock. All of my other BT devices that are paired with the phone work just fine, the only problem is the app...

But talking out loud to your imaginary friends (no matter what their name is) does come across as a bit skeezey...

    Release Version Megathread

And if Lucid would implement the basic software best practice of having a web page with the release #/date/change description information (e.g. the PDF that the car displays at update... so we KNOW that Lucid has the information in the right format even)... well... then we wouldn't even need...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

The 12v batteries charge off the HVAC, so that aspect (12v vs HVAC) doesn't seem like why limited point heating (wheel & seat) are more efficient than total interior volume heating (all that air, all the material of the interior, the windows radiating warmth to the outside, etc).

    System Fault and Service Response

Mine is there right now too (for the past 3+ months due to a Ford F650 tapping me in the rear end... and the long wait for Lucid to fill the parts order). It has spent most of the past 2 weeks "offline" as they work on the body, but has recently come back online (hope I have it for my March trip...

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

When you wear two watches, you know not what time it is...

    System Fault and Service Response

Ah, didn't recall that was there... thanks! On my app it also says that this is for only when a "recognized key" isn't present, which would not seem to match the case of the car being delivered back from service (I'd assume they had a key)... sorry, but I feel confused here, perhaps I'm just not...

    System Fault and Service Response

Are we (as customers) expecting too much on the wrong axis here... I'd want more time & $ put into fixing the car's flaws and less into rentals (both in number and in attempting/expecting to make them "high end").
