Got a call from my DA that the car had "finished production" and that the next stop was Chicagoland for final prep and delivery to Ohio! 6+ months from confirmation and not a peep, then a flurry of activity - I'll take it. Will be a nice wrap up to September and good excuse to drive around...

Maybe closer to 4 weeks, but who knows at this point. The good news is, you are closer than you have ever been!

The mystery for me is that I received a call earlier in the week that my vehicle was going to be delivered in two weeks. But still no VIN or any sort of email confirmation from Lucid. Also, what is this 'portal' that I see referenced in this forum? Or does that info come with the VIN email?

Finance email received 23 Aug, call from DA claiming two week delivery 29 Aug in my case

Well, well, well -- just got THE CALL from my DA saying the car has been manufactured and should be delivered in 2 weeks. Two weeks? It still has to go to Chicago for inspection, etc so I am guessing closer to 4, but he was adamant about 2 weeks "being the current estimate". Fantastic if true...

Ohio. I have also seen people confirming delivery in Ohio and Tennessee prior to this. Perhaps there are others.... No rhyme or reason....

Confirmed the same config on 3/2/22 -- still no VIN.... But at least I got my pencils :rolleyes:

I guess the local delivery priority is real. Love that all of the above people are getting their cars that are basically the same spec as mine, but the fact that I confirmed weeks before they did doesn't seem to matter. Nothing I can do but grit my teeth and mutter "come on, Lucid".

Makes a lot of sense to have a service center here - puts them within a few hundred miles of like 50% of population of the US. Seems to be pretty active EV adoption here as well - as I commented elsewhere, I have seen multiple Rivians and even a few Polestars (and countless me-to Teslas) around...

Mildly (or maybe wildly) off topic but I have now seen TWO Rivians in Columbus Ohio. Nary a Lucid, not even my GT confirmed on 2 March (and apparently fell into a black hole.)

The older JuiceBox that I have allows for multiple devices and multiple vehicles, for what it is worth....
