In the same boat .. haven't heard in a while (supposedly let me know soon .. was expecting a 2023Q2 delivery). When I ordered it, I wasn't sure I was going to follow thru w/ it, but considering that my Rivian R1S is in "Permanent hold" .. looking better.
At the time I ordered it, I didn't...
I find that when I exit the car, if I press the Right toggle switch to mute it, upon returning, the radio is still muted.
That said, the volume doesn't stay where it was and I have to turn it down every time.
I've been carrying the fob in a faraday pouch 99% of the time I drive the car just to test this very scenario. Sometimes, the phone works flawlessly, but most of the time I stand there looking like I'm stealing the car (btw, awkward when you have others standing around their doors waiting)...
I was using it in the same way (i.e. to alert the person in front of me that the light had changed).
Left me wondering, however, if the horn is loud/long enough if needed in a more "pressing" situation; doesn't seem so. It's whimsical, but I'm not sure if I'd be confident on using it if I was...
lol .. I knew I'd find a post or thread on the Horn sound.
Today, for the first time, I pressed the horn (w/ my wife and son in the car) .. after a puzzled look, my wife asked me if that was my horn .. so I beeped the horn again and she started laughing at my "wimpy-sounding" horn. As my wife...
WOW .. my daughter was driving our MY a few months after we took delivery and the brakes failed (the car wouldn't stop no matter how hard she pressed the brakes) .. luckily [as she approached the round-about] w/ a car about to T-bone her, the Tesla's automatic braking system took over and...
I know that some folks have had this issue before, but I've never experienced it until today. I'm not sure if me trying the "2-button press while depressing the brake pedal" reset messed something up.
I was driving around for a few hours (making a couple of stops). After coming out from...
Ok .. so I actually thought @Drendino 's comment WAS actually funny, but reading the snide F150 remark, I'm starting to think folks think I find the lack of a coat hook an incredible oversight.
So, to set the record straight:
These days I wear a suit jacket or sports coat less than a dozen...
fyi .. bluetooth doesn't operate outside a 30' range (or so) .. there should be no need for a GPS location verification to know that you are near the car.
Well ... I wish I had read this thread earlier.
I went to a Holiday Party last night ... it was raining ... I went to put my sports coat on the garment hook .. hmm .. standing in the rain .. feeling around for a hook .. not near strap .. not along the door sill .. not on door post .. hmm .. not...
Strange that the bluetooth connection didn't work ... I wonder if the phone's NFC feature can act like the valet card (by placing the phone above the pillar) .. if not, it probably should if bluetooth fails in these types of situations.
Len .. I'm guessing you are referring to the 2 button and brake pedal procedure?
If so, I wish I had seen this before I tried it yesterday (when I tried it to fix the bluetooth audio .. again ... and while it was raining outside)
So far, it doesn't look like it caused any issues, but will...
fyi .. I ordered the EZ-Spare wheel/tire (which comes w/ its own lug nuts .. see photo) and their "Tire Changing Kit" (see photo).. which included the jack (which fits under the car w/ a flat), telescoping lug wrench w/ 4 socket sizes..
so, with the exception of the lug nut remover (e.g. Set of...
