It depends on the age of the car. The paint fades over time. So in a new car, they can replace it with a freshly painted part. In a car a couple of years old, the would no longer match.

If either party to a phone call is in an area of poor cellular signal, the audio drops back to a higher compression, poorer quality sound. Are you sure that's not happening here?

Has anyone installed third-party satellite hardware into their Air to receive SXM? That's something I will do if I can figure out how.
