Clicking sound from under the car in cold weather

Since you park outside, I suspect this will be a recurring nuisance. A solution ( I have not heard of one at this point ) would be great, but in the interim, if it persists, I hope you have the same experience as me; specifically, no malfunction to this point.

Clicking sound from under the car in cold weather

Do you park indoors? If so, just don’t worry about it , as it will stop. This is my 3rd winter with the clicking louvers and I now just completely ignore it.

    Energy Efficiency question

I would not be too worried; I ignore since last charge numbers, as it’s always demoralizing. For the last month, in temps 0-30, I am averaging 2.7 m/kWh while driving. Since last charge is much worse, but I disregard it because it accounts for preheating , sitting idle. , etc. Also, in your...

    Energy Efficiency question

Was it excessive stop and go , with lots of idling?

    Energy Efficiency question

Did you preheat the car or did it sit while “on” for any amount of time? My since last charge numbers are always bad, compared to my trip miles ( when the car is actually being driven )

    Energy Efficiency question

That is since last charge, which is not an accurate measurement of m/kWh. I would reset your trip meter and see what kind of numbers you are getting.

    Energy Efficiency question

That is not normal. In temperatures in the low to mid 40s , I think you should average anywhere from 2.5 to 3.0, in city driving.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

I think you will experience a few winter frustrations , but most of them can be resolved. Perhaps I have been lucky, but my experience during winter has been seamless. The biggest irritants are blocked cameras , and for some the frunk doesn’t function properly in winter.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

It hasn’t happened to me in a while, so I cannot recall exactly how much pressure I applied, but If I remember correctly, it wasn’t much. I would email service and inquire . We get a lot of snow here and door handle malfunction has been a very infrequent occurrence for me.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

Did you try pushing on the handle to release the snow/ ice? That worked for me.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

I’ve had clicking louvers for 3 winters now and they have never broken. If you had to sleep in another part of the house because they are so loud, that sounds pretty excessive. As soon as I close my garage door I can’t hear them anymore.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

Forgot to add that I have driven with the all seasons and they do well, but others have noted improvement with snow tires.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

I’ve never had to clean my light bar. Snow definitely sticks to the hood, but not while driving, only while idle. It’s never been an issue for me. Occasionally , during heavy snows, I’ve had to clean off the glass canopy. I personally haven’t had significant ice problems on my glass canopy...

    UX 2.5 OTA Update

Let’s hope we can have the best of both worlds. I agree, the majority of the non Atmos Tidal Max sounds improved. Perhaps they can manage to keep that aspect unchanged, at the same time improving Atmos. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

    UX 2.5 OTA Update

Yeah, it bums me out also. I don’t listen to Atmos anymore, because of the significant degradation in quality. I sincerely hope they will address it. On a positive note, I think many high res non Atmos songs now sound a bit better.

    Range Questions after first trip

On average, I get about a 30 % drop in winter but I must admit there are periods where it can be as bad as 50%. 50% is NOT typical for most winter driving though. It’s just good to be aware that it can happen. Enjoy Florida.😉

    Range Questions after first trip

That may have affected your m/kWh a bit, but it seems like you started driving right after unplugging. To be honest, I have gotten some pretty awful numbers in winter , sometimes in low 2s. I just chalk it up to a heavy car and very cold battery. It seems like the new models may have...
