How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Based on what I am getting, I would be very nervous of doing 300 miles even with the GT's longer 469 mile epa. My requirement was almost identical to yours, and I thought it would be a no brainer for the Lucid. Maybe I should have known this or researched more ahead of time. I was going...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I reported a trip further up the thread that was 215 miles. Just because it got way worse numbers than @hydbob's, I think it's still valid. I am thrilled that the correct mileage is actually achievable, but many of us are not seeing it. I have never seen my car get above 3.1 kWh / mi and I have...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Awesome, much appreciated. I guess the question comes down to if they divide by the battery's capacity to get the % (e.g. 112 kWh) or by the amount of energy needed to charge the battery (131 kWh for a GT with 21").

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Or, is it showing its calculation using the kWh needed to replace the kWh used in your example above? In other words, the EPA says the GT is 28 kWh per 100 miles. That would mean approx. 1.2 kWh is needed to replace every 1kWh of battery used. Hope that made sense...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I'm not sure what claim you think I am trying to make. Several of us are trying to figure out why the efficiency we are experiencing seems off. Things might make more sense if Lucid's display calcs are using 140 kWh vs 118 kWh (132 kWh vs 112 kWh for the GT)? That still doesn't explain why the...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Is it possible that the Lucid is calculating kWh as the power required to recharge vs the kWh actually used? If so, it would make some of the results make more sense, especially if some of our cars are waking up and consuming a lot more power during charging. Maybe? I don't know, my head hurts.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I don't understand the Edmund's data: If the EPA is 27 kWh/100 mi with a range of 520 miles, that would require a 140.4 kWh battery. Edmund's test showed 28.3 kWh/100 mi which would need a 143 kWh battery to get 505 total miles. Not sure how a 118 kWh battery delivers 140+ kWh?

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I'm still with you that I think something is fundamentally wrong. It could even be that their calculation displays are bugged. I really hope there is away from Lucid to be able to definitely tell by pulling data.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

That would definitely be interesting if true! (And not shocking given Tesla's marketing spin to everything.)

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

The point that keeps getting lost here is that I believe if my previous Model S was driving next to me on that same trip, the Tesla would have had the same or better 3.1 mi/kWh-- likely better since its lifetime average was 3.4. Based on their EPAs alone, the Lucid should be 20% better than the...

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

I guess the main concern is seeing the Lucid have worse mi/kWh than my previous Model S(s) driving in the exact same conditions when their EPAs suggest the Lucid should be considerably better than the Model S.

On the pilot screen hit the gear icon --> Vehicle --> Trip Meters. I think that's right at least. Whichever trip meter you select will be shown on the left side of the cockpit screen. I usually never clear Trip B, so you can see performance for the entire car's life.

    Electrify America on road trips

The Electrify America app will let you look at the number of chargers at each location. Might be helpful to check along your usual routes in the app. Around here (MN), Electrify America has little presence but seem to be in the 4 to 8 charger territory (4 being more common).

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

Took a reasonably long drive today: Car * approx. 200 miles odometer * Air GT 21" wheels * Smooth mode Trip * 50 degF, wind avg around 10 mph * ACC set to 75 mph, interior temp set to 72 degF * 215 miles, very flat * 69 kWh used * 3.1 mi/kWh * equates to 74% of epa * 347 total mile range vs...

12 volt battery charger fault detected

Isn't that what a valet would be doing? Seems odd they would be resetting the car-- when they are hustling to retrieve cars, I can't believe they will know to sit there and wait for everything to (re)boot up. I may just not be understanding how the whole valet card thing works.
