    Hunting wild Lucid Airs

I saw my first "Lucid in the Wild" in months this morning - a Cosmos Silver getting on I-95S in Waterford, CT. - I think it had Jersey plates. No pics, but it was real!

    RESOLVED USB shuffle?

I hadn't seen it yesterday, but if you have the USB selected and playing, the display on the right side of the cockpit should show the shuffle option on the far right and the repeat function on the left, underneath the song. It's nice not to have all my songs playing in alphabetical order!

    New HV Battery

They are not providing you with a loaner? I had a GT with 20" wheels to drive for two weeks while my 19" GT was in for the HV battery replacement last Fall. Turning in/receiving my car back from Natick was seamless, but I missed my 19" wheels on crappy New England roads.

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

For the "Olds" in the room, the Reader's Digest had a quote about maps I can't seem to forget: "Road maps give you directions to everything except how to refold the map." P.S. Yes, I do keep some paper road atlases in my trunk.

98% do not buy Tesla's FSD after trying it for a month

Phantom Braking was also a big problem with the basic Autopilot function on my Model Y. I subscribed to FSD for one month back in 2021 during which I took a 2K road trip. It worked pretty well on the highway overall (when passing, it would change lanes and then change back), but I never really...

    Lucid is Maturing

I forgot about Charlie! I haven't heard that in years! Thanks.

    Lucid is Maturing

I'm waiting for them to realize they are on a "rotary" (what they are called in much of New England), and if you miss your "exit", just go around again to get in a better position to do so. It's not like you're going to get lost.

Guess the name of this project or the name of the future car...

I thought "Surf" or "Crest" (of a wave), if they were going with the elements theme, but I really like Lucid Serenity for all you Firefly fans... or even Lucid Firefly itself for a smaller, zippy model.

    12k service

I just went over 37K miles and went in for my 3rd "12K service". For each service, the basics were done, but in each instance, the excellent Service Center personnel in Natick have identified some items (large and small) that I never would have found. At the 24K service, their diagnostics...

This Could Be A Charging Gamechanger

Supposedly they will support NACS and CCS - hopefully replacing the short cables on the NACS so CCS can use them with an adapter if the CCS stations are all in use. Updating them so LUCID isn't capped at 50 kW would also be great news. P.S. I'm hoping they realize there are paved roads north of...

    New owner in New Hampshire

Congrats! It'll be nice to increase the chances of seeing another Lucid on the roads up here.

Per the New York Times, Lucid owners are “tedious rich people”

The Atlantic also had a recent article with the author yearning for the days before screens and computers in cars. To be fair, the interior of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class was likened to a "hookah lounge", and he disturbingly described the Cybertruck as an "extraordinary example of...

New York is a bit too far for me, but CT would be a maybe.

    Chargepoint DCFC Connection

Do you have one of the Fobs/RFID cards? I used one in Maine last week for the first time, and it worked smoothly without even opening the app. (I'm assuming you had a payment method set up in the app?)

    National Drive Electric Week 2024

I think I only saw an Arizona thread opting to attend an event so far this Spring, so are there any others going? I've gone to several over the years with each step of my EV progression, and it looks to be a fairly full house this year. I'm surprised the usual Tesla Roadster, R1T, electric...

    Philosophical observation

I had to think long and hard about doling out for a GT, but knowing that even the range of a Tesla Model Y could come up short in many parts of New England, 500 mile range - or even in the ballpark - was the primary reason I chose the GT. Driving 5.5 hours each way to a test drive in NJ in the...

    NACS Megathread

I drove from NH to Bangor and back this weekend, and there were two ChargePoint 150kW chargers on I-95 at an easy on/easy off Irving gas station/convenience store/Subway location for me to top up on the way home. I'm used to NH, driving miles off my route to a deserted corner of a mall parking...

    Total Eclipse anyone ?

The Tesla Superchargers were not faring much better. In the St. Johnsbury, VT, chargers, they were passing out numbers to folks and got up to 150 at one point... One Tesla driver reported he arrived at the charger at 6:00 PM and did not get out of there till after midnight. Welcome to the...
