    OTA 1.2.21

Has anyone here not gotten the update to 1.2.21 yet? My car had an issue updating to 1.2.20 and it had to be resent. I’m wondering if my updates may have gotten stuck after that. I am trying to decide if it’s time to text customer service to ask for help.

    EZ Pass Placement

You mean behind the retractable pilot panel? Wouldn't it get knocked off when the screen retracts? I must be misunderstanding this. I currently have an eternally mounted transmitter that screwed in to the license plate. I needed this for my Model S because the windshield had a tiny little safe...

    New member in Boston, MA

I went to the RMV myself, got plates on the spot. The only snag I hit was that I needed the insurance company to fill out the RMV-1 form, the RMV insists on it. You can't cross out anything on the form. The RMV servicers get very pissy if you say you completed any of the fields yourself. I don't...

    October OTA Updates

I see there are a lot of us that are interested in helping Lucid vet their pending updates. @Firstto520, what is the best way for us to share feedback and bug reports? Are there any constraints you would like us to place on them? F.e. suggesting "add sentry mode" is useful as a long term...

RESOLVED High pitch beeping sound from near drivers door

When I’m driving, I hear a very high pitch sound beeping at a constant rate. Fit doesn’t seem to vary with speed. I can sometime hear it when at a stop, but it seems to come and go. It’s high enough frequency that it’s probably not audible to some people. If I hold my hand up at the 10 o’clock...

Lucid hit piece from this forum

Having posted images in a public space does not cancel your personal copyright to the image. Issue a takedown order. Charge them a fee for violating your copyright. Make them steal someone else’s image. Then we’ll do it all again with their new victim. They’ve gotta learn to understand copyright...

Notification or warning sounds while driving?

I had a similar problem on my first day. For my, it was the distracted driver warning. It didn’t show up on the screen long enough to even tell what it was, so I just had to start turning stuff off and hoping I found the right thing. This feature need serious improvement.

Contactors in the high voltage battery pack

Also this explains why the 12v battery failing renders the car undrivable. You lose the 12v controlling that relay and the HV battery disabled automatically.

Contactors in the high voltage battery pack

Based on that user manual page it sounds like they are using a 12v relay to disable the battery terminals. It is likely cut off at the battery directly, not in the wonderbox. This is an educated guess, but it’s what I would have done for safety reasons.

Any Lucid owners who are previously Tesla owners? Curious about your thoughts on your experience and if you prefer Lucid

There is also some mildew that can build up on the ac condenser and cause that smell. There are sprays you can buy to kill the mildew at auto stores, but you have to be able to physically find the spot where the mildew builds up.

    Winter Driving

I’m planning my AGT to be my daily driver including all winter in Massachusetts. I got the 21” wheels because they look so damn good. I have 19” cyclone wheels from my Model S still that I will put on for winter. Does anyone know if the Tesla TPMS sensors will work with the Lucid? I had...

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Grand Touring

I took delivery of my QG/Tahoe/21” at the Boston studio on 9/28. It has some panel alignment issues near the front, an alignment problem with the trunk, and a few door trim pieces that don’t quite line up. It’s all pretty minor stuff and I’m confident it can get fixed by mobile service. I took...

Pro and Con evaluation of battery saving

I leave my Tesla plugged in all the time. There is no significant risk of fire hazard from leaving an EV plugged in. These aren’t filled with dumb batteries. They don’t just keep getting stuffed with energy until they explode. The battery management system knows when to cut off charging and it...

    OTA 1.2.19

There are some settings in my Tesla that disable if the car isn’t on park or of my foot is on the break. Could that be why the setting was disabled? Windshield wiper cleaning mode is disabled if the wipers are in automatic mode, but that’s unlikely to be your problem I think.

    New England Lucid November meet-up?

I collected a lot of the shops in MA in another thread. A lot of owners have used Craft Detailing in Dedham. They also have a location in Woburn. I’m bringing my AGT to the Dedham location when it arrives.

    New England Lucid November meet-up?

I’m picking up my AGT next week in Boston and hope I can join. I’m leaving for a road trip to Florida that second weekend though, so would only be able to make it the first weekend. I’ve voted accordingly. Let’s also hope I don’t experience either a drive unit or 12v failure…

    Massachusetts Lucid insurance

I'm working on getting insurance now, and am finding out that several insurers don't want to cover my car because of the MSRP exceeding thresholds. Travelers has a limit for sure. I was told by my insurance agent that Commerce, Progressive, and Safety had all indicated they do want want to cover...
