    Face Recognition Error

Possible your steering wheel position is such that the camera can't see your face. It's not a big deal. Face recognition isn't used for much. Yet.

    Electrify America charging free?

That's not what the email says. Feb 5 is when free idle fees ends. Your free charging plan ends whenever it's supposed to end. Your delivery date + however many years your free charging was. Or, if you are a really early dreamer, and your free three years is already up technically, then yes...

    Electrify America charging free?

That part of the app is rather buggy. I wouldn't trust it. Lucid has your original end date on file. That's the one that counts.

    Electrify America charging free?

I really don't see how people are having issues with this. If you have free charging, nothing has changed. Your expiration date is the same as whatever it was. Starting Feb 5, they're going to charge for idle time. Good. They should have done that from the get go. No one should be hogging a...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I resemble this mark. :) But I totally agree. I'd pay extra for platinum. Depending on the color of the car. Stealth looks sick with Fathom Blue. It looks good on Gravity with the green. But if I were to go white again, I'd totally pay extra for platinum.

End of Road to Gravity. It’s time for Gravity on Road!!!

This is a great time for everyone to remember that sales advisors vary greatly throughout Lucid, and they all seem to chart their own course in terms of how and when they choose to communicate with their customers. There are going to be tons of stories about what this or that advisor said or...

3 weeks into my Lucid Air Touring Ownership Experience – love the car, absolutely hate the stereo.

Good for you. My tinnitus is luckily easy to live with so far. But it gets a bit louder every year.

    Battery powered vanity mirrors

Had my car for two years. Haven't had to touch the batteries yet. I guess I don't look at myself much.

3 weeks into my Lucid Air Touring Ownership Experience – love the car, absolutely hate the stereo.

I know few musicians who are audiophiles. Most of us have blown our ears out so bad on stage we can't really hear the finer details, anyway.

3 weeks into my Lucid Air Touring Ownership Experience – love the car, absolutely hate the stereo.

I think the OP makes a fair point about the base system. It should (and can) be better on a car in this class. I wouldn't count out the possibility that this changes in the future, though. Lucid have already updated the software to make the base system sound better. (It was truly dreadful at...

I knew there was a reason I liked you. Bass players unite!

    Next update?

Think of a software engineering team as a boat, not a car. It doesn't stop or turn on a dime. And the bigger the boat, the longer it takes to do either. I'd argue the team has had a lot on its plate and has actually produced quite a bit of software in the past six months. The entire Gravity...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

You're being a bit hyperbolic, no? A HUD is not headlights. It is not necessary for the functional operation of a vehicle, as demonstrated by the millions of cars out there that don't have a HUD at all. And yes, Lucid ABSOLUTELY did this with Air. HA didn't exist in 1.0. Lots of features...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Production ready means hardware. Software is always in flux for companies like Lucid. This is not an Oldsmobile. The car’s software will be vastly different two years from now compared to when it ships. Ask any Air Dream Edition owner. What’s important is that the HUD hardware is present in...

Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

I personally don't care about "real buttons" or having a heavier brick in my pocket. It's the UWB that makes me envious of the Gravity fob. I hope Air gets UWB eventually, but I'd actually like to see it keep a sleeker, smaller footprint on the fob. And the lack of ugly buttons is actually a...

Gravity: Get in up close and personal plus 4 Airs - This week only in Las Vegas

The thing that always strikes me when I see Gravity in person is the size. It's deceptive. The car is pretty damn big. But it feels smaller than it is somehow. The lower roof height. The short nose. The sleek lines. It all contributes to a vehicle that does not at all seem as if it can...

Dead 3 week old FOB battery & question

I don't think pouches at home will help this one. It seems to drain whenever the phone and app and car are all together. I just got a fob battery warning for the first time ever this week. And my battery was swapped out by mobile service less than two months ago. So something is going on that...

20-ish mile range difference between 5 seat and 7 seat Gravity?

They are putting what they feel are the best wheels and tires possible. That’s their only motivation. They are obsessed with handling and dynamics.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

Yes, I avoided the frunk on the coldest winter days when I lived in Colorado. Not worth the risk of freezing when it’s below zero. Especially if you are doing any highway driving. Other than that, the Air is a good winter car. Handles in snow just fine.
