How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Don't get the impression we aren't all concerned. It's a gamble, for sure. I think what people are saying is that if you are pinning your hopes on Gravity to turn the company and stock price completely around, you are likely setting yourself up for disappointment. Doubling, tripling, maybe...

    Jaguar Rebrand

I think it's fair to say you are the exception to the rule in your age group, no? You are a self-described car nut. This ad is defnitely not looking to target that in any way, shape, or form. I wouldn't be surprised if the new line of Jaguar EVs are more family-friendly vehicles. Not...

    Jaguar Rebrand

Jaguar certainly has a reputation as being a car for old men. That's just the perception of the brand, particularly in England. There's a reason Bond drives an Aston and not a Jaguar. If this is part of a greater effort to lower the average buying age for Jaguar, good for them. Their long-term...

How is the Press Responding to the opening of Gravity Orders?

Fair point. I suspect Lucid's best chance at a bit of buzz on this vehicle is if the right YouTuber takes it on a track and shows off how crazy well it handles. Not because the general market for this sort of vehicle cares about that sort of thing, but because it will further push the brand as...

    Jaguar Rebrand

I find it funny people are reading "woke" into these ads. I'm just seeing "weird." Again, the 80s and early 2000s were full of this sort of branding. The message is clearly "Jaguar is about to utterly change the brand, but we don't have a car yet to show you." Which is a hard message to convey...

    End of Lease Experience

If there's a benefit to Lucid to doing this, I imagine they would. I'm not an expert at crunching such numbers. But Lucid is about to have a much larger market of "preowned" Airs out there regardless in a matter of months. I can't imagine they aren't planning to do something lucrative with that.

    Profile climate saving

There is that setting inside Climate to automatically turn on steering wheel and seat heat according to temperature. I haven't tested this, but with that on, perhaps if you open the mobile app and set the temperature to a normal mild temp before heading out to the car, it may turn the seat heat...

    Profile climate saving

Unfortunately, seat heat is not saved in a profile. I really wish it were. My hope is at least at some point we get to control seat heat in the mobile app. That way, we could at least turn it off before we head out to the car.

    Lucid Gravity in the wild

Really not a flattering picture. If you've seen Gravity in person, you know it looks a lot better than that.

    Lucid Touring Observation

Not an independent one, no. I believe in that recent video where Lucid drove from headquarters down to San Diego, a Pure and Touring joined them part way through that trip. That was the one where the Pure achieved the 5.0 efficiency. The Touring got 4.8 and traveled 400.5 miles. And the GT got...

QUESTION Efficiency drop after 2.5 update

This. Every winter we start seeing posts about efficiency dropping. It's perfectly natural and expected in colder, wetter times.

    End of Lease Experience

No one knows at this point. I imagine sometime this summer we'll be seeing the first GT leases expire. Or perhaps some of the earliest 18-month leases will come first? We may get more answers then.

The I-90 Surge by Out of Spec Studios

Good summary. I did find it fun to follow your route and charging decisions. Amazing you still beat the i7 despite needing to be towed.

    Jaguar Rebrand

Sure, the commercial is weird. But I’ve seen worse. I lived through the 80s.

    Lucid Touring Observation

I wonder if Porsche knows from history that most owners don't hold on to their Porsches for eight years or more? They also have a dealership system that knows how to push newer cars on existing customers. A friend just got talked into "upgrading" to a Taycan from her three-year-old Macan...

    Lucid Touring Observation

There has been a lot of back and forth about the charging curve for sure. Is Lucid being a bit conservative here? Yeah, probably. They are on the hook if your battery doesn't last 8 years, so I get where they are coming from. But I do think as they see their cars over time and how well the...

    Opinions about Hey Lucid

Yes. Same. The trouble is definitely not getting the words that were spoken right. At least not for me. Others, depending on accent, could have other experiences. But it's the understanding of what is actually being requested that is a work in progress.

    UX 2.5 OTA Update

At this point, it's probably okay to contact support and ask them to push 2.5 to you. It should probably be fully deployed by now.

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Agreed. I'll take Scandinavian minimalism over the "posh" look and feel every time. And the German brands have most definitely been moving in the posh direction of late. At least Mercedes and BMW. Porsche and Audi maybe not as much.
