There are tons of long SUV's. Escalade ESV is a practically a train.

These are great side by side pictures that illustrate the differences between these two. The Aviator has a more pronounces sloping roof line with a heavy skew towards the rear. This was a trade off they felt was worth it given that rear headroom is going to be more limited compared to Gravity...
Sorry, I meant the earlier Pacifica that had regular doors like Gravity vs. the minivan in 2023. Pacifica also starts at like $40k and if Lucid could hit 120k units like Pacifica could, oh man, our stock is going to the moon... Unfortunately, I don't see that being the case.

It has nothing to do with other consumers. I do not like the design. At the price point and with the size of my family, I'm an SUV buyer and a Range Rover Sport would fit the bill.
Collectively, I do think that most general consumers think it looks closer to a minivan than an SUV. Function won out over form here, and it's going to cost some potential buyers but I'm sure Lucid took that into consideration when designing this.
If they had sloped the back a bit more to look...
I've had my Touring for about a year and a half now and somewhat regret getting the glass canopy. I keep the sunshades in year round as a) I feel the heat when driving, and b) my sunglasses don't quite cover the direct sun I'm getting from above.
For that reason, I generally keep the sunshades...
