    Car Dealerships and EVs

Last week National offered us a Volvo XC40 and I thought that it would be fun to try. I was told that it was charged but noticed as we were leaving the airport that it had only 27% left, or around 60 miles, but didn't worry about it because surely there would be a DCFC nearby. Well, I was wrong...

    QUESTION Thanksgiving. Busy travel days.

"An electric counterpart to the Navigator will arrive by 2026, riding on the next-generation Ford F-150 Lightning's dedicated EV truck platform." According to Car and Driver I will have to "put-up with" my DE and Hummer until then! ;)

    QUESTION Thanksgiving. Busy travel days.

We are driving the Navigator. My wife likes it better for road trips and no charger worries. :)

Order update: "Your Hummer is on a train headed south! It is probably still about 2 weeks away. I don't think it will be here in time to drive home from Thanksgiving. "

Lucid Party @ Gravity Reveal-LA AutoShow November, 2023?

I do like it and I think that it will compete with the Lincoln Aviator and seems much better than the Mercedes EV SUVs. However, it's not a full-size SUV like the Rivian R1S, EV Escalade or the future EV Navigator. Now that's not a bad thing because full size SUVs are in a smaller market, I...

    U.S. News 2023 EQS vs Air H2H

Well, I am going to chime in, and the following is MY OPINION only, so no need to tell me that I am wrong! I thought that I was wrong once, but I was mistaken. 🤣 We own both a Dream Edition Performance, mine, and an AMG EQS, my wife's. I realize that these are different cars than what were...

    Off-Topic GMC Hummer EV

I got this today from the dealer on my Hummer order: "It is showing as built with no ETA. I will check next week." Should ship soon, maybe??

    Edmunds does another Lucid review..

I don't think that the video is that bad, just my opinion. They give praise when it is due and call out the problems that they have had. We all do the same here on the forum.

Squeaking sound from the front seats

I had the same issue. Service came out and adjusted something under the seat and the noise went away until a few days ago.

    Vampire Drain Analysis

My wife's AMG EQS has almost no vampire drain. It does have a "Start" button that keeps most systems off until pressed so maybe that is why.

    Vampire Drain Analysis

That's a lot of energy just for WiFi or LTE data.

Oil giant bp to buy $100 million of Superchargers from Tesla.

Who knows. It would be in Telsa's best interest to sell as many as possible for the $100M, but at a profit, to have their name in more locations? It's a good thing for all EV and prospective owners.

Oil giant bp to buy $100 million of Superchargers from Tesla.

"It would mean that Tesla’s Superchargers cost no more than ~$43,000 per charger versus over $200,000 for the competition based on the documents in these applications to the TxVEMP program." From...

    OTA version 2.1.33

My car had v1.04 when I picked it up almost 2 years ago, no thanks. No cruise control, door handles that wouldn't' stay open, useless NAV system, etc. We absolutely have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go, IMHO.
