220v charging - anyway to limit amp draw

Your EVSE is the issue and should be the device limiting power. It shouldn't be possible to plug one in that will draw >20A into a 20A outlet. Pretty big electrical code violation. For a business, that tends to be a very big deal in terms of insurance/etc.

Taycan Turbo GT goes 0-60 in 1.9, beating Lucid Air Sapphire

It's completely irrelevant beyond bragging at the (bar, office, soccer game). I would be surprised if anyone honestly drove the Air and Taycan back to back and didn't say that the Taycan felt more nimble/handled better. I surely can't say how that translates to track times or such - sometimes...

    Lucid Home charger Order status

Interesting - I ordered the mobile charger on Sep 21th, and haven't heard a peep from them. I actually just sent an email today because there hasn't been any notification at all regarding the order. Given that they aren't provide an evse with new vehicles, they probably want to get on top of...

Taycan Turbo GT goes 0-60 in 1.9, beating Lucid Air Sapphire

Remember the Taycan also has a 2 speed transmission on the rear. It's a lot of little things. Part of it is just Porsche has a whole lot of existing data/engineering around launch control.

Taycan Turbo GT goes 0-60 in 1.9, beating Lucid Air Sapphire

No argument there. Though if you step out of their EVs, the conversation gets a bit one-sided. Of course we also start talking about cars that cost a lot more than the Sapphire.

Taycan Turbo GT goes 0-60 in 1.9, beating Lucid Air Sapphire

I presume you're forgetting where the Taycan comes from? Porsche has been working on things like torque vectoring for a very, very long time. Their suspension engineering is if not the best in the world, among the best in the world. The Taycan already has PTV+ which is a mechanical variable...

High Beam Assist: Improved Target Detection

Do they? I always noticed that in my other vehicles, but I don't notice it in the Lucid. I do notice the Lucid lights up the sides all the time a lot more than most headlights.

High Beam Assist: Improved Target Detection

Have not seen anything that would indicate Lucid has a matrix LED system - physically you have to actually have a matrix to do this. If the Air's lights are a matrix, they haven't mentioned it anywhere that I've seen, but I surely haven't seen everything.

    Getting out of lease early

I'm pretty sure everyone will let you out of your lease if you pay the full term. I *think* you are able to request an appraisal on the shortened depreciation to lower what you owe, which then is more of an "early termination penalty"

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

Well, I believe him on it not being something they can calibrate - I don't believe it's actually a hardware thing. The challenge is it would have to constantly re-calibrate itself as the brakes wear over time, or other things which impact the position. If they get the position calibrated just...

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

Yeah, which is why I mention I wish it worked like the Taycan, where you engage hold by pressing the brake pedal past a stop, otherwise it doesn't automatically engage. You've never gone slow when you're pulling up to a curb in a parking spot, or creeping up to the front edge of your garage...

What is a reasonable winter range expectation for my new Touring?

Wheels are relevant, but less so than the tires. Pilot Sport 4s have a lot more rolling resistance than the A/S 19s. Winter/snow tires usually are softer with more siping and are even higher rolling resistance - but, it's also very specific to the tire.

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

Uh huh, and of the brands doing significant OTAs - we're talking SDV level OTAs here, how long have they been around? Also, how many of them have had OTAs that bricked portions of their fleet? Your expectations are not reasonable or tied to reality. Minor OTAs have been around forever, but...

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

They seem to agree with you, which is why they're going slowly and revising it during the release. The point you're missing is the reason it's going slow is because they ARE working on improving it. You seem to be implying it's going slow just for funsies.

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

The soccer mom in Ohio being the target customer won't be worrying about how long it takes to roll out a software update. They'll never even know they were waiting. Their software leadership was recently replaced. They're a startup. Expect things like this. The way you deal with this in a...

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

What isn't sustainable about this? Pretty sure the expectations are just unreasonable. Just about every consumer product that exists which gets updates gets them in a staggered fashion, sometimes over time periods of many months or a year. Would you rather they just blast it out to everyone...

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

It's not when you accelerate, it's when you're on the brakes coming to a stop that the brake pedal kicks - right before you fully stop and it holds. When you accelerate, if you're going very slowly, it's that the brake does release, but if you're kind of feathering it to creep, it will be...

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

Yeah, if you put it in roll it doesn't do this. When in stop mode, I'm guessing there's an actuator on the pedal, and right as you reach a stop, the pedal kicks out from your foot a bit. It ends up feeling a bit like ABS. It seems like it's just slightly mis-calibrated, and needs to engage...

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

Is this something that needs calibration, or does this happen to everyone? If I put the car in "stop mode: hold", when you come to a stop (or you're creeping), the brake pedal kicks back similar to how ABS behaves. Also pretty noisy as the brakes grab/release constantly while creeping. The...

    End of Lease Experience

Probably not? Depends on your definition of worthwhile I suppose. Certainly unlikely to be a financial benefit to Lucid vs selling them.
