    Charging curve logs post 2.1.52

Hello forum friends! With the most recent software update Lucid made changes for battery temperature management as well as preconditioning at low battery levels and I wanted to see how this affected the charging curve. I've gathered a little bit of data that I wanted to share with everyone...

    Lucid made my week...

I'd argue it's easy to enjoy a Lucid anywhere, especially a Sapphire. 😎

    My GT DCFC charging experience

I've typically heard for long term storage it's best to be between 30-50%, but I think this is typically plugged into at least a 110V outlet. This way you can still charge the battery enough from dipping down too low. I'd maybe worry about flat spots on tires with a car this heavy, but other...

    My GT DCFC charging experience

Getting charging speeds about 250kW requires a very specific set of conditions that you won't often meet unless you're specifically trying for it, and even then the charging infrastructure will likely be the limiting factor. For those that drive their EVs often day-to-day I'd say having a home...

Issues with Scheduled Charging, Audio, and Suspension Noise

I'm very sorry to hear you're having these frustrating issues. I'll try to give you my recommendations, and I'm sure others will also chime in. 1. I don't have experience with the Lucid charger specifically, but I would make sure scheduling is disabled in the charger's settings and only active...

    Preconditioning questions

I'll be posting my recent Touring vs GT comparison soon. I'm just having some issues posting a new thread currently.

If I buy the Home Assistant Green device is there anything else I'd need for the Lucid integration setup?

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

Your moment of revelation approaches! I still remember how blown away I was during my test drive. I think you'll appreciate the approaches Lucid took in regards to driving dynamics and interior feel.

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

For anything above 50-150 kW those are likely the only options, but if you're traveling through an area without a lot of infrastructure it certainly wouldn't hurt to see what level 2 options there are just in case.

    My GT DCFC charging experience

Thanks for sharing your experience! Seems like it was a solid session overall. I imagine it's next to impossible to get that perfect, unrestricted session in the area with how busy the chargers are, but as long as you're flexible and attentive you shouldn't have much difficulty getting what you...

    Air Pure DC Fast Charging

This was on my Touring last night. Above 250 kW is possible, but fully functioning chargers can be hard to find.

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

I think that's part of the beauty of it all. You can take it easy and go 70-75 and get class-leading range and efficiency, or you can cruise at 80+ to get to your next stop quickly, take a 20-30 minute charging/pit stop, and then keep on cruising. The Lucid does both very well and makes either...

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

The included EVSE has both a NEMA 14-50 (220V) plug and the 110V plug. As others have suggested, the GT will probably be a good fit for you. I think you can theoretically order one without massaging seats, but if you think you'll keep the car at leqdt a few years you should go for all the extra...

    Preconditioning questions

One thing I didn't think about is the car will not let you use the climate hold function when the battery is low (<15%), so using this to allow preconditioning to continue probably wouldn't be super helpful, unless the battery is especially cold.

North Carolina Rally: Tail of the Dragon + More

If nothing else this car has certainly brought out my adventurous side, and this is definitely one adventure I don't want to miss. Plus, I've already gone to California and back a bunch of times in the past year, so I've already got plenty of road trip miles under my belt. That said, if Lucid...

North Carolina Rally: Tail of the Dragon + More

Very much looking forward to this! As I'm not local there's probably nothing I can do to help with the planning/preparation, but if there ever is please let me know. I'll start planning my route for the trek out from Utah.

Interesting idea! Next time I'm low on charge I can try this, unless someone else gets around to it first.
