    Gravity; SUV or Minivan

I was just at the Chicago auto show, so it was a great place to see the Gravity in person next to all sorts of cars and SUVS. The big 3-row truck based SUVs are monstrous in size, a lot of the Crossovers like the Santa Fe are about the same size as the Gravity but they made it blocky to look...

    EA Megathread

I wish instead of limiting the charge at 85% they just double the rate fee once you are above 85%. That feels like it would get people to change their behavior faster.

Federal NEVI EV charger program cancelled

This is good information, but it's not necessarily showing it in the greatest light, each port is costing the US taxpayer 127K. This is somewhere between 2-3x what the private sector is showing they can do. Which the guy in the video mentioned too.

Federal NEVI EV charger program cancelled

Ok I looked at the link with the trend showing about 800 DCFC 'Ports' being added a month. I still think the issue then becomes you can't take that at face value, because of the compatibility issues still out there with CCS vs NACs and 400V and 1000V.

Federal NEVI EV charger program cancelled

Right how hard is it to provide some transparency? I can go to Tesla's investor report and see how many chargers they have in the network and how operational have been added. It would get rid of all this waste and politics of misinformation. Just provide the right information.

    Camera issues

My car had an issue where 95% of the time the system wouldn't load either blind spot or 360, took it to service and they found a bad wire harness. So it's possible that its hardware. The service shop can run detailed diagnostics on the ADAS that we have no ability to troubleshoot.

Yes, because they fold so nicely.

This is getting serious. DD Pro thinks the dotted line is the center of the lane.

I thought the manual states there is a manual recalibration that the driver can do for this, requires something like running DA (HA) in the middle lane for like 10 mins or 8 miles for it to understand the lane centering, to be done in the middle of 3 lane highway. Most people don't know this...

    OTA Update 2.6.0

I am big fan of this because you can easily do some default interior pre-conditioning. It sets the seat heaters to the middle (no 2) setting.

Out of Spec Podcast on Gravity Charging Performance

Close, but it will also be 6 modules lighter. I am thinking like 340, maybe higher in 5 seat trim.

OOS just posted a detailed breakdown with Lucid on Gravity supercharger.

Really, really favorable review of Hey, Lucid...

I really need to see a good video demo walkthrough to understand and appreciate the capabilities. As of right now I have mine turned off, but I rarely have any use case in a any vehicle for talking to it hands free when I prefer to be listening to music. Maybe it can come up with a great...

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

This was done in prep for a roadtrip, so it was DCFC until 85%, home L1 charge until 100%, pre-condition again in the morning of the trip while I took it to get donuts on a 30 DEG F day and then L1 charged back to 100%. So, the Pre-conditioning took it from 99% to 95% and then the battery was...

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

It always consistently uses about 3% SOC for preconditioning to achieve the optimal temps. The main benefit is the allows the battery to effectively contain higher capacity at higher SOC. I have a 24 Touring that I have gotten to show 431 miles EPA range (rated for 420) by L1 charging it to...

    EA Megathread

It's very difficult to find the end date of your specific vehicle now. I recall mine being April 2025, but I followed the email and put my new CC information in. I charged 2 days ago at EA and it was free.

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

To be honest; there is some moot point here. I think the Gravity GT might be electronically limited to below 150 mph....

    Gravity Orders Discussion

One would hope:) It's definitely pennywise and pound foolish to put 1200lbs of LI-Ion batteries in a pack under the floor and then skimp on a handful for 12V backup...Maybe your Ioniq 5 will end up with one of those backup jump starter kits jerry-rigged in the mini-frunk...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Yeah, that would be nice, think of all the electronically powered systems on the vehicle that redundancy would matter; Rear-wheel steering, power steering, powered doors. I tried googling what the standard voltage level for those actuators are, but it's definitely not 5Vdc.
