I'm not seeing Homelink dependent on profile. I set it up once and it works on both my profile and my wife's. This was true when I was on 2.0.56 (which is what my AT came with) and after updating to 2.0.58 today.

I don't know how fast I actually got the update because it was ~6 hours after emailing that I checked the car and I never got a push notification on the app, but they responded to my email 6 minutes after I sent it. Impressive!

I gave in to temptation and have emailed customer care asking for the update to be pushed.

I was thinking about this quite a bit while I wait for CarPlay to land in my car. For my usage, I don't know that I'd really use CarPlay much at all if native apps were great. Spotify and Nav are the main things I go to CarPlay for in other cars.

Yes. Most (all?) of us on this thread have had this error in rain. Servicing saying an update is coming for this issue is new information tho.

Good video. I wonder if Lucid's contracts w/ Spotify, iHeartRadio, Tidal, etc... require them to keep the icon in the list of sources. It's valuable for the service providers in terms of customer acquisition.

I do wish Lucid had default volume level option so that after "turning off" the car, the volume would be reset to the default like some cars (Audi) do.

I have one time now, no update involved since I've only had the car a week, had my car spontaneously switch itself to roll. It was an unpleasant surprise to find myself rolling backwards when coming to a stop on a small hill. This also caused me to discover that you can't change the setting...

Maintaining software at scale is a significant expense. This is one reason why most software products (Windows, iOS, etc...) have a lifecycle policy. Lucid's language is likely to preserve optionality on lifecycle. Time will tell what they actually do and if they arrive at some best practices...

Thanks. I think I'm going to "stage" one this weekend by having my car in reverse in the drive and having my wife drive by in the street. If I'm still in doubt, I need to go back to the service center for them to polish a scratch from when I took delivery. I'll ask them to demo for me.

Thanks. Today, I was stopped at the end of a lane in a parking lot and a car was coming from my left. It triggered a cross traffic alert. The screen even said "from the left" but the sound was from the middle. So am I still not understanding how it's supposed to work?

Wouldn't customer care have acknowledged this as a known issue or expressed more concern when I reached out to them? That was my first experience, so really don't know what to expect.
