That's interesting. I had a 2014 P85 (the first iteration of AP hardware with lidar!) and I could do lane assist cruise control at any speed - and I never had enhanced autopilot or whatever it was called later on. Crazy that an older car had a better feature set for less money...

I believe by the time you've gotten the notification, it's already been downloaded and the install is pending. Whether its on WiFi or cellular doesn't matter at that point.

That's the thing - I've done a bunch of road trips in both EV and ICE cars and can't remember the last time I drove for more than a couple hours without stopping. Especially with kids in the car, they have to pee/need a snack/chase a butterfly all the time! Even when it was just me and the boys...

As others have said, its just as likely (if not more so) that it goes to zero. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose, especially at such a young age.
