    Actual Key Fob Data

If my guess is correct, the Farady shield will have no impact. My guess is that the fob is advertising itself too often for the size of the battery. My hope is that the RG1 or RG2 will fix it. RG = Rube Goldberg. Stay tuned for next week's adventure.

    Actual Key Fob Data

Progress Report: I emailed the fob manufacturer with questions, but no answer yet. Parts of my 'Rube Goldberg' solution (leather key case, larger CR2 battery and holder) are starting to arrive. I estimate about 1 week before I can build that. Meanwhile I looked up the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy...

    Actual Key Fob Data

I garre - it a great car, especially after I learn more about how to drive it. The fob issue is like a stone in an expensive shoe that we love. I wish that Lucid would offer us or sell us an upgraded fob or tell us more about the technology so we can find somone else to fix it.

    Actual Key Fob Data

I odered all the parts for my Rube Goldberg solution: CR2 battery and holder, leather key case. Total cost about $10 + $10 shipping. Will arrive in about a week. I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, I know Lucid tech folks are litening to this board. They should have the specs on the chip and...

DeaneG: How long does your key battery last? What year is your car? Thanks!

    Actual Key Fob Data

I love that picture!!!! Thanks. I see at least 3 paths now: 1 - Live with it or use the mobile key. (Not for me.) 2 - Rube Goldberg. Fashion a new case or leather key case that would hold a CR2 or larger CR123. That method might include removing the electronics from the old Lucid key and...

    Actual Key Fob Data

Here some 'Rube Goldberg' type solutions I may try. A CR2 battery is larger (15.6 x 27 mm) but has a capacity of 850 mah, about 3.7 X that of the CR2032 in the Lucid key. That should give about 1 year of service. Just wire it in to the Lucid key in a larger leather key fob case. The CR123...

    Actual Key Fob Data

I had previously disabled the Lucid feature that unlocks the car when the key is near. Also, measurement # 1 was taken very far from the car. The current shown was caused by a feature of the key itself. I'm thinking about either a higher capacity battery or a switch in the case.

    Actual Key Fob Data

Being an Electrical Engineer I was curious about the key fob short life mystery, as it has hit me also. (New 2025 Air Pure). So I made some actual measurements First, the Fob is made by a British Co. called Pektron. Their website has no Specs on it. Next I took a microammeter and measured the...

Dead 3 week old FOB battery & question

I measured the battery voltage with a high impeadance Voltmeter, after it failed at 2 months, as 2.7 V. (VS 3.3 V for a new battery) Bitterent should have nothing to do with this, UNLESS it is across the terminals causing additional drain. We need to measure the residual current drain by the...

Since 2.5.0, app will not wake up car?

2025 Air Pure 2 months old. 600 miles. I went into my garage today and pushed door handle to open car - Nothing! 100% dead. I was in a rush so had to borrow wife's Lexus. Upon digging, I found my non-working key fob CR2032 battery was at 2.7 V and the other working keyfob was at 3.0 V. I...

Anyone know of bidirectional charging status?

I have to agree. I only have 500 miles on my Air Pure, but the more I drive and understand the features, the more I like it!

NEW Wiring Harness Recall - Recent Air Pure

I like your sorted phrase! My 1 month old Air Pure has about 500 OK miles on it, except for low internet reliability. Perhaps Lucid should outsurce the electronics to Lucas.

    Radio Antenna Replaced

Alex: Thanks. I haved used this type also - if legal, they must be FCC Part 15 approved - they usually run 10 mw or so. There is 12 V in the trunk, so I will aim to use that. I had my ham radio and Sirius working well in my Clarity. Now need to do that in the Lucid. In my Clarity. I used the...

    Radio Antenna Replaced

Alex: Thanks for letting me know they use AT&T. My friends on that round here have no problem. I will try after Christmas (confident) that I can generate enough modulated FM signal to be heard on the Lucid. One fallback is to put a separate modulator in the trunk near the receive antenna, and...

    Radio Antenna Replaced

Alex and all: Thanks for this info. I want to use the FM radio to inject audio from other sources, including my ham radio. You saved me a lot of time. Thanks! P.S. - Around here, the cell reception to our Verizon cellphones is close to 100% . However, the ability to access the internet in my...
