    Production started YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Seems odd that an employee would plug into a stall that doesn't work...i assume he's charging. I think it's a good sign that Lucid and Tesla's agreement is in the works

how are they charging this at a non-magic dock supercharger without an adapter @Bobby ?

Bad Efficiency? Read this first before creating another of the same topic.

Lucid's efficiency estimates are tuned for sustained freeway driving of 65-70mph. You can get 4 miles/kw if you drive in that range. With a mix of city/highway, you probably won't see those kind of numbers in a Lucid. Model 3s are much lighter and use a lot less energy getting up to speed from a...

    EA Megathread

huh? My first comment said in the case of Lucid, it’s not as big of a deal since the competition gets much lower mpg. But generally for people that don’t care about performance, EVs are more expensive to charge than hybrids. And again, since this is an EA megathread, DCFC EVs costs more than...

    EA Megathread

It’s pretty simple I think. A long range ioniq with a 77kwh battery costs you $43 at EA $0.56/kwh that will return 300-350 miles on a charge A prius with an 11 gallon tank will cost $44 at $4/gallon to cover 600 miles. You can even scale down to a 35mpg car like any midsize hybrid sedan/suv...

    EA Megathread

Comparing what to a moped? You misread my post. Do you not think an IONIQ 6 or a Chevy Bolt is a competitor to a Prius or Civic hybrid? When the competition gets 50-60mpg, the electricity price is about the same as gas. Or that a Lucid is a competitor to a 5 series or E class? When the...

    EA Megathread

Yea I mean, I think it’s ok for something like a big heavy powerful Lucid. For sure it’s cheaper than filling an equivalent M5 or E63. But once you go down into the economy class EV like the Chevy, Hyundai, Kia stuff, you’re not saving anything over a traditional hybrid like a Prius (nor...

    EA Megathread

0.46 is the discounted Costco rate. Go across the street to the normal EA. It’s 56 cents or something for normal public EA stations in CA. Crazy huh? 😂

Post your mi/kWh efficiency in inclement weather

It’s not necessary. You will waste more energy compared to just driving off with a cold battery and letting it heat up naturally

Brand new Lucid owner, serious range concerns after first trip 2025 AT

Interesting analysis. Would be interesting to see if you swapped cars for a week how the results would differ. Given your different driving behaviors you are right. This doesn’t really tell us much. With regards to the test, I’m talking about that big roadtrip bonanza OOS did with the lucid...

Brand new Lucid owner, serious range concerns after first trip 2025 AT

In out of specs road tripping, with 75-80mph, the model s plaid was doing about 85% of its rated range and the lucid was 75% of its rated range. Also I just want to confirm what you’re saying. Your plaid is rated at 3.5 miles/kw from the epa. If you’re claiming it’s doing 73% of rated range...

Brand new Lucid owner, serious range concerns after first trip 2025 AT

Wow that’s great! My Touring is rated at 384, and I get about 270 based on my efficiency. (3 miles per kWh) And that’s trying to be efficient lol. So it appears your plaid is more efficient than my Touring 😢

    Production started YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

I still don’t think lucid will force you to use an adapter to charge the Gravity. But if you think they were dumb enough to do that, go for it man We’ll see who’s digging their grave soon, now that press reviews are coming soon!

Why would Lucid copy bad EV companies like GM and Ford?

    Production started YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Sure they can control it! There’s obviously no technical challenge since many OEMs have already onboarded Very simple conversation — Lucid: “Hey Tesla, we want to use your NACS port in the Gravity. Can you make sure we can use the Supercharger Network when our car is released?” Tesla: “Sure...

    Production started YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

That would be insanity. To publicly release the Gravity with a NACS port it can’t use outside of like the 7 US-wide magic dock stations?? Also the whole point of magic dock is to convert to CCS. So you’re saying people would have to put a second adapter on there? To do nacs-ccs and then back to...
