    NACS Megathread

V4 can fulfill the NEVI requirement of 920V. Currently it doesn't because like you said, 1000V is not enabled yet. Thus, it's a fake V4. Fake means not true, so, there's no V4 currently. It's a digital world: You are either pregnant or not. Waiting for the potential "enabled" doesn't count

Lucid out of the list for Supercharge spring 2024 release

Yes. It's a "Magic Dock" with a built-in NACS to CCS1 adapter waiting for your Lucid since last year. The issue is, most likely, it's used to satisfy the NEVI subsidies requirement of at least 4 CCS1 per station. Thus, there won't be enough of those to be practical.

    Analysis of 2023 Results

Thanks for the clarification. It's not that hard to understand the reason for overproduction, really. Let's look at the scenario at that time: Tesla was the monopoly, and whatever it produced was well-ordered before it was ever assembled. Then, the monopoly was broken, and others also...

    Analysis of 2023 Results

I don't know why you are puzzling about the unsold cars. Logically, when there's a buyer, the excess stock will be sold. An example is the thread: https://lucidowners.com/threads/build-date-oct-2022-bought-the-car-dec-14-2023.8115/

    Investing In LCID

Yes. I drove a round trip from California to the East Coast last summer and never got stranded. There is only minor frustration with Electrify America; otherwise, the car is solid and a great joy to drive. Definitely. Lots of room. Lots of range. Great handling. Luxury Longest range Lots...

    What's the Real Agenda?

The proof has been on EA for faulty availability status. There has been no proof of inaccurate Tesla Supercharger available status from the Navigation or the phone app. If the Navigation or the Phone App were inaccurate, it would be a community service to point that out by showing what the...

Want to purchase concerned about viability

There's no guarantee in life. Even among the Big Three: GM and Chrysler already went through bankruptcies. Lucid is a quality product so even if it will not make it in the future, I think there are many informed customers who will keep the company going for many years to come. That means I...

    What's the Real Agenda?

Quote from the video: "It turns out the station that we picked was being serviced. But it didn't tell us that or which ones were working and which ones weren't. But finally, through trial and error, one of them started working." It's a disservice to hide that the info is not physically...

    What's the Real Agenda?

That is very right. They are misinforming the public, and they are not looking at a Tesla phone app or the in-car navigation. Here's an example of how they could glance at the navigation inside their Cybertruck. It says this station has 16 stalls. 2 are available, and 1 is out of order...

    What's the Real Agenda?

In conclusion, after wasting 10 minutes on this video, it's about crystal ball on the sales success. It is not about bad-mouthing on Lucid engineering. Whether he says the sales of Gravity will move the needle or no, it's about sales and not about the quality of the cat itself.

    What's the Real Agenda?

Look. This interviewer invited Munro, who specializes in breaking down the components and not on sales. I didn't want to watch it until you said something inconsistent with what he stated: that the Lucid drive unit is very good. Even better than Tesla's. The video you mentioned has nothing...

    What's the Real Agenda?

The video shows that the driver and passenger asked each other which stall to choose, and their decisions were based on randomness. and not on the: 1) Tesla App 2) Tesla Navigation. Both of those should answer which stalls to use. The video should say, let's avoid the non-serviceable...

    What's the Real Agenda?

He is still correct about the faulty Electrify America that creates charger anxiety. 8 days ago, before I drove to the EA at 6AM Saturday, I looked at the app saying 2/4 available: When I arrived, 2 were charging, 2 were broken, none were available, and the line of 4 and above started to...

    What's the Real Agenda?

You made me watch the whole thing, and he disparaged the Tesla CEO for not knowing about the McDonald's toy. For 10 minutes, the only few relevant words are: Munro: Ford is either going to stay the same. Maybe there'll be a couple of upticks or whatever but I think that they'll be the least...

    What's the Real Agenda?

I didn't watch it but I think there are people who don't believe that good products always win over bad ones. That means I don't think his praise about Lucid drive unit has changed. He still thinks it's much better than Tesla's. However, history reminded that good products didn't always mean...

    EA Charging Issues

EA app has been giving erroneous available status so this is not the first time: I visited EA at Brea Mall, CA, early Saturday morning. The app said 2 were in use and 2 were available. When I arrived, those 2 available were broken. Four other cars were in line waiting: I asked others in...

    NACS Megathread

Correct. Right now any brands can charge at a CCS1 compatible Tesla Supercharger called Magic Dock. You are right that you don't need an OEM "deal" to access Supercharger. But That's a very limited access because there are only 2 Magic Docks in California and sporadic few in the US. The...

    NACS Megathread

You need to have permission from EA to use EA. That permission comes in the form of EA app or a monetary payment. Tesla doesn't have to get Federal funds called NEVI. But if it wants to, it is required to have a minimum of 4 920+ v CCS1 stalls per station. That could be done with Magic Dock...

    NACS Megathread

If you have a NEMA 14-50 outlet outside of your garage, why should I get your permission to drive up to your drive way and plug in my Lucid? NEMA 14-15 is a standard. That's because you might have a smart main circuit breaker panel that you can control with your app to turn it off by a timer...

    NACS Megathread

At last, Stellantis will use SAE J3400, the same standard as current Tesla NACS but without the word "Tesla." https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/12/24070654/stellantis-tesla-ev-charging-plus-nacs-adapter That would speculate that there's no deal with Tesla at all. Without the deal, how will it...
