The moral the story is leave the fob in the car if you walk away with someone in the car. Or, if you get locked in, open the door. Or, just turn off proximity locking all together.

That was only a temporary fix for me. The new wheel is rock solid.

If you had it replaced in May, you probably don’t have the most recent wheel. I think I’ve had every version, but the one I have on now seems to have fixed it without any secondary issues, such as loose buttons. I’m sure if you submit a ticket they will take care of it for you.

The performance of my GT never ceases to amaze me. Many EVs can do fast, but none of them are as planted and confidence inspiring as a Lucid. I recently took it on a long windy road and had a blast riding the rails. It’s hard to imagine how good the Sapphire will be.

I replaced mine at around 14k because I got a second welt and decided to replace them all in order to get the discount tire warranty. If you don’t have any welts, I would drive them to around 20k and then replace them.

As scary as it seems, the principals of Occam’s razor points to Lucid having something to do with the production. 😂

There is a lot of ground between people wanting it better and those who never want to touch the steering wheel, ever. Very few of the complaints on this forum are asking for what your are inferring. We want it fixed and better.

I agree, which is why I don’t care if I ever see level 3 in my lifetime. My first suggestion would be to go to touch, but I would imagine that recalling all of the steering wheels could be cost prohibitive. Another option would be a hybrid model, where you have to torque the wheel once a minute...
