UBP Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ)station 55 Wanaque Ave, Pompton Lakes, New Jersey 07442
On their website, it says this station is COMING SOON. But their app showed it with available charges.
The one the guy on the phone couldn't find is located at:
Plaza 23 Station 500 Route 23 North...
It just keeps getting worse! I had to drive from upstate NY (Saratoga county) to northern NJ and back. Charged to 100% for trip down. I knew at some point I would have to charge once to get at least 30% to 50% more power in order to complete trip. EA says there a station near me with 3/4...
Just bout to cross the 12k threshhold. 21s. I have never seen close to 4 over anything longer than a 20-40 mile trip. I am averaging around 3.2 to 3.6. At that rate, I am maxing out at 350 miles or so on a full charge...if I manage it. 300 is closer to normal.
We are LUCID early adopters....not EV early adopters.
I was at an EA station in Newburgh, NY this past weekend. Along with a MB, BMW, Hyundai, Chevy and two others I cannot remember. ALL of them had the same issues I have. It's not a Lucid issue....it's a charging infrastructure and...
It is because if you travel more than 300 miles, you NEED to charge!
Weekend getaway? bad charging experience.
Family vacation? bad charging experience.
Work trip? bad charging experience.
And I believe that is an issue that needs to b addressed as well. It is my understanding that EVs begin to slow the charge as they get "fuller." Why not allow maximum speed charging until 95%? It should work like ICE fill ups....maximum flow until last few percentages.
Why limit any car...
DITTO!!! I will preface everything I say with I LOVE DRIVING THIS CAR!!!!
That being said, I get no where near the quoted range. On trips. I get about 3-3.3. BUT when you stop to charge and:
1. some of chargers are inoperational
2. the other are full and people are lined up to use them
3...
On second thought, was your question to determine why I was pulling so little? If so, there was a message on screen indicating the station was limiting the capacity.
Not sure why, but there you have it.
That sounds amazing! What part of the state are you from? I originally hail from Highland (between Poughkeepsie and New Paltz) but now live in Saratoga County (Rexford).
I was at EA in Chicopee, Mass yesterday. PErfect example of why we have a LONG WAY TO GO with EVs as the future of automobiles:
1. 4 stalls....1 totally out of service. I called....faulty cable or connector.
2. Other 3 were full with 4 people waiting.
3. One MASSHOLE was at 80% when I...
As amazing as this sounds, I am not sure I am going to make it. I'm 3.5 to 4 hour from there. And I am not overly enthusiastic about driving 10-12 hours in a single day.
Unless something changes on my end, have a great time!!!!
