Our other vehicle is a Mach E. Yes, the frunk can barely hold my wife's purse, but it's a really good car otherwise--dare I say, better than our Air in some aspects (Blue Cruise, software, visibility).
"(2) cover anything that does not match the industry standard wear and tear policies of other luxury makers"
This is key IMO. I suspect many new and potential Lucid owners come with prior experience leasing luxury cars (like me). My firm leased luxury sedans for 15 years, and we did not ever...
Big picture from my view: Lucid is a new company trying to get a foothold in the upscale market. This forum is filled with folks like me who love the car and want to be loyal customers. But this "wear-and-tear" issue is turning off existing owners who would otherwise be repeat buyers and brand...
I like that idea. My issue is that is that the QR code should link to an "elevator pitch" type page on Lucid's website that neatly summarizes the questions I get every time someone walks up to the car: What's a Lucid? Who makes it? Is it an EV? Where is it made? Is it better than a Tesla? What's...
Yes, I know; that QR code takes you to the order page. My suggestion was a QR code that would link to a "what's a Lucid?" page--which is the question I get most asked! Embedding a referral bonus was really secondary to my main point.
Lucid needs to make their marketing efforts accessible to owners, who are its best ambassadors. Twice this week I came out of a store to people ogling my Air, asking "who makes this car?" I would have loved to be able to have a QR code on my Lucid phone app that people could click to get more...
My rear back-up camera stopped working today; it gave an error message that said turn the car off and on again (which didn't work). My car doesn't have curb rash alert. Called customer care and they had me do a hard reset (x and mic buttons plus brake pedal), which fixed the error. I got the...
https://electrek.co/2025/06/26/lucids-lcid-50k-midsize-ev-platform-will-spawn-three-top-hats/
Article says, per interim CEO, platform is coming late 2026 with production the following year. "Lucid has “three top hats” in the works, two of which will launch relatively close to each other. The...
This! I'm nine months in with my Lucid, and frustrated with some issues that I've never experienced in 50 years of owning cars (none of which I've bothered to post about, FWIW). But the positives are wonderful, and although I am also impatient by nature, I do not regret my purchase at all.
I just installed my LHC, but--based on these types of threads--haven't tried connected it to my WiFi network since I have a low tolerance for tech FUBARs. I set the charge time and limit in the car, plug it in, and it works fine. Am I missing any useful features by not connecting via WiFi?
Ironically, I stopped for lunch in Millbrae after picking up my car for service; and got a ticket for no front plate (along with two Teslas parked on the same street). I got the license wrap, took it to my local CHP office where the officer initially refused to accept it. He had to check with...
Pure RWD w/ 19s. Lifetime (3,000 miles) is exactly 4.0 m/kwh. Mostly Bay Area freeway driving (avg. 70 mph). Efficiency was a big reason I went with the RWD Pure and 19" wheels.
Not sure if this belongs in another forum, but new EV owners should be required to take a charger-etiquette course. Often when all the chargers are full, I'll walk around to check charging status and find someone sitting in their car staring at their phone while their SOC is 85%-90%.
Pure RWD w/ 19" inch wheels owner here, I had a GT loaner for two months. Agree with just about everything from OP. I much prefer the handling and quiet cabin of the Pure over the GT. Yes the GT has eyeball-peeling acceleration, but for real world use the Pure has more HP than I'll ever need...
I subscribe to Consumer Reports, and very often make buying decisions based on its recommendations. For cars, I will definitely take CR ratings into account, but rely more on dedicated auto publications in purchasing decisions.I expect ratings will improve as more subscriber/Lucid owners...
Not sure if the EV charger network funding can be revoked via executive order, I thought those funds were allocated in legislation. Trump can rescind the Biden EO that opened the lease loophole in the $7,500 charging credit.
